Description: An autobiographical film about a person who realizes how his life entraps him. Beginning and ending with the image of elephants in chains, the filmmaker contemplates those forces which limit one's actions and are beyond one's control. Interweaving still photographs and black and white and color sequences, he charts the decline of his once wealthy family, the present estrangement of its members and a brief affair which only underlined his feelings of loneliness and alienation.
