Description: Explains how low-income adults from Atlanta, St Louis, Hartford and Boston prepared for teaching in the national Career Opportunities Program (COP) and participated in field-testing an ethnic studies course. Discusses the process of developing curriculum materials and the training of college instructors who in turn trained the COP teacher-interns and shows the teacher-interns working with children in classrooms and using their ethnic studies course experience.
