Description: Teaching Film Custodians classroom film of excerpts from the 1940 Twentieth Century-Fox feature film, “Brigham Young”. Demonstrating the necessity for respecting the rights of minority groups, this shows the contributions of the Mormons to our national development. No reference to Mormon doctrine is contained in the film, which presents the religious persecution of Mormons in Illinois, their hazardous trek westward and their part in the settlement of the West by the establishment of the colony at Great Salt Lake.
