Drawings and the shop

Description: Episode of Series “Engineering Drawing”. Emphasises and describes the relationship between the making of the drawing and the various production operations in shop and factory. The flow of work, as called for in the various drawings of typical metal products, is traced through the pattern shop, the foundry, the forge shop, the machine shop, and the assembly shop. Representative operations in each of these departments is demonstrated.
