Description: This 1967 industrial footage documents the introduction of Douglas DC-9 service on Trans-Texas Airways (TTa) to Santa Fe County Municipal Airport and Albuquerque International Sunport in New Mexico. Following a celebratory dinner at La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe, TTa employees board a DC-9 flight to Albuquerque. Previously known as Aviation Enterprises and later known as Texas International Airways, TTa was a Houston-based airline with passenger service to airports across the United States and multiple in Mexico. The company merged with Continental Airlines in 1982, which merged with United Airlines in 2010.
