Description: Depicts children in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant section finding artifacts linking them with their 19th century ancestors and, in classroom activities, learning about their African heritage. Explains that under 'PROJECT WEEKSVILLE,' black children are piecing together the history of the self-sufficient black community of Weeksville which existed during the early 1800's.
