[Music] they say that every person has dreams at night and after you wake up you forget most of them but there's this one dream I remember because I have it pretty often it's a funny dream there's this little Part near where I live it's a real place and I used to go there when I was little but in my dream like it used to be it's like I was a little kid again and I feel safe there like nothing can touch me or hurt me funny dreams [Music] [Music] [Music] it's hard to wake up sometimes but when it's Saturday I've got to get up early might miss something I like Saturdays my folks usually gone somewhere and there's nobody around to bug me [Music] good morning dear now please listen and don't shut this off until I finish talking I hope you're not we those raggy old clothes I don't want people to see you and think we can't afford to dress you properly I know you'll cooperate oh and be sure to get a haircut today your father says it's not to wear it so long it looks so awful I can't imagine the people thing money is right under the reporter now don't forget and spend it on something else [Music] n [Music] there's one room in the house that I'm not allowed in my old man says if he catches me in there he'll murder me I guess he thinks I'll break something or ruin something or find something I don't really think he'd murder me though he's never home long enough [Music] [Music] my brother enlisted last summer he's off fighting in some dumb war that I don't know nothing about my dad says he's very proud of him but he didn't show it when he was home [Music] one good thing about my brother he left his bike at home he says when I'm old enough he'd let me ride it sometimes I think it'll be 100 Years anyway I'd like to think about when he was still home he'd take me out on rides when he wasn't too busy [Music] I guess I kind of miss my brother but I'd never tell that to anybody at least he'd listen to me sometimes [Music] my old man says that people all over the world would like to live here I think he's wrong most of them do [Music] now there's one big hangup about taking shortcut through the park and that's the neighborhood past I think he's kind of off his rocker he's always in that Park and he always wants attention [Music] he's probably just Lonesome but I haven't got any time for him [Music] they ripped out a whole street of houses and stuff to build a freeway through our track one of the teachers at school said that when it was finished could hold 140,00 th000 cars passing one spot in a day's time I wonder how they figure that stuff out I remember a few weeks ago we almost got in trouble for messing around on all the big equipment [Music] a [Music] la oh [Music] you can never do what you want anymore without somebody hassling you we wouldn't have messed up anything it was kicks though but that was when we were together [Music] shopping centers are kind of a bummer but sometimes cool we've got the biggest one around for Miles people come from all over in spend their money on all kinds of junk but it's more fun to foot cruise around and watch you can usually run across somebody you know [Music] but I like to get to know you yes I but I like to get to know [Music] you but I'd like to get to know you yes I but I'd like to get to [Music] well it's been some I guess that just to be a but i' like to get to know you yes I yes like to get to know you well I can't promise that I'll spend day you I can't promise that I'll the way you I promise I promise that I love you I'd like to get to know you yes I'd like to get to know you I'd like to get to know you you know I'd like to get to know you know you know oh I'd like to get you know you you yes I'd like to get to know [Music] [Music] like to get to know you if I but i' like to get to know yes [Music] [Music] sometimes I take the long way home if I don't want to get there very fast it's stupid for me to come by this street especially now but I still do it it's bad I guess cuz it makes me think about things I want to forget but I can't I wonder why some things have to happen they don't make any sense the people that go to church say that there's a reason for everything but I don't know about that all I can remember is what happened a couple weeks ago it was the last time we were [Music] together e [Music] n [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] a [Music] why does some things have to happen I don't know I'll never know I don't want to think about it anymore [Music] for everywhere people [Applause] everywhere people look and people stare they are love and I love yeah people look and people laugh we just turn around and we parties are a blast the adults leave you alone and don't try to supervise too much most kids go to a party to see who else is there or to forget about other [Music] things in the Canon in your mind in the canyons of all time the canyon sh took all your many a bad dream it has brought to you [Music] the word for all your many a thing you found and many a thing you lost but one thing f you can be sure of you're never ever ever going to lose your thought in the canyons in your mind in the canons of our child in the canyons in your mind in the canyon of all time [Music] my little butterfly she always tries to make me cry and my little butterfly she he always tries to make me want to die why can't you fly away with me can't you fly away with [Applause] [Music] me listen butterly and I'll tell you why nobody I know knows how to fly oh I wish that I could fly so very high fly with you into the blue blue sky w [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] he's really just a pest sort of crazy he'd think he'd have enough sense to go home sometimes I wonder why he never does go home maybe he lives in a house like mine maybe he's got folks like mine maybe maybe he thinks about the same things that I do or wonders funny he kind of reminds me of something or [Music] a oh [Music]
