Complete Record: Credits over drawn futuristic rocket skyline. Eastern European type animation of rockets moving back and forth over rails. Red carpets roll out and squadrons of astronauts marcher across. They are lifted up to the doors of the rocket and pushed in. The rocket telescopes upwards. A last astronaut runs up the carpet, but the rocket takes off without him. He convinces another astronaut to let him aboard another rocket, but he must get a chair from his house first. The other astronaut’s wife kisses him goodbye and puts a scarf on him. He shows off the lunch his wife gave him. After a few checks, the rocket fails take off. They jack the rocket onto its side and they attempt repairs, eventually cleaning birds and mice out of a pipe in the rocket. Still no success, they examine the complex mechanism of the rocket. It is all very busy looking. They get a ladder and hammer on the head and the tail of the rocket. Another attempt at lift off is almost successful, but the rocket wont lift off of the ground. Child with kite watches. Astronauts pay at the gas pump to fuel their rocket. More problems in the cockpit, which is full of meters, readouts, gages, and pipes. Rocket wont lift off, astronaut lights the fumes coming out of the back with a lighter. It explodes and the rocket lifts off, returning to pick up the astronaut. After liftoff, they see a crazy face through the window. They begin to fall, experiencing zero gravity. They crash and get out. The face turns out to be the boy’s kite which got stuck to the rocket. The astronauts disassemble the rocket and play with the kite in front of all of the other rockets. The little boy launches the rocket. A crowd of astronauts watches the two astronauts fly the kite.
