A slow-motion ballet on the ritual of the Spanish bullfight. Repetition of gestures performed by many matadors in different arenas is accompanied by a majestic classical organ. The film captures the myth-fulfilling intensity of man's encounter with the wild force of chaos... the bulls are seen to impose the statistical certitude of the fate of each matador as the forces of chaos and order win alternate victories.
