Description: Describes the physiographical action of glaciers at the edge of the Greenland ice cap near Thule. Uses diagrams of a vertical cross-section of the area in conjunction with a quasi-animation technique to show how the replenishing of the glacier is kept in balance with its melting. Illustrates and explains such terms as moraine, esker, and till. Portrays climatic conditions of Northern Greenland during the summer months when most of the scenes were taken.
