Description: Filmed by award-winning advertising producer Gerald “Jerry” Schnitzer, this 1970 promotional footage captures commercial jets for the Houston-based Continental Airlines in flight. The new Boeing 747 sails through the skies before banking sharply to make a turn. A McDonnell Douglas DC-9 flies over snowcapped mountains and a beach at sunset. A Boeing 727 descends through the clouds and comes in for a landing. And a Douglas DC-8 banks over a hazy mountain range and taxis down the runway for takeoff.
