Description: Uses animation and actual photographs to show the easily recognized constellations used for locating other constellations and celestial objects in northern skies; and, through use of overprints relates constellations to their mythological origins. Introduces constellations through recognition of the Big Dipper as a part of Ursa Major. The "pointers" of the Big Dipper are used to find Polaris and the Little Dipper. Nova, light and dark nebulae, binary stars, and the Great Spiral Galaxy in Andromeda are identified.
