“Come Ski with Me: Skiing the Western United States with Jean-Claude Kelly” is color promotional film dating to the 1970s that was likely sponsored by United Airlines. Directed by David H. Vowell and featuring music by Barry Mason, the film spotlights the various ski resorts and ski towns in the Western United States. Narrated by French former World Cup alpine ski racer and Olympian Jean-Claude Kelly, the film features many cinematic shots of Kelly alpine skiing on the slopes of the Rockies in Colorado and Utah and the High Sierras in Nevada. The film also features a number of upbeat jingles that allude to sponsorship by United Airlines with lines like “ski west, fly with me the United Way.”
