The three primary colors are introduced as balloons labeled Red, Yellow, and Blue. Each color is then shown. Red is painted with red paint, followed by scenes of familiar red objects such as apples, tomatoes, fowers, autumn leaves, stop sign, a dish of jello. Yellow is written in yellow crayon, and yellow objects are shown: lemons, squash, butter, flowers, tropical fish toys. Blue is written in fingerpaint. Blue scenes include sky, blueberries, a girl's bkue eys, butterflies, mailbox, glassware, clothes. A narrator mentions each object briefly. Almost all of the photography is in close-up.
