Clay and water

Description: In the republic of Mali, in West Africa, traditional architecture is perfectly adapted to climatic conditions and local resources. Houses, monuments and mosques built of clay and earth - some of which have stood for centuries - correspond to the needs of the inhabitants, and show the creative use of materials given to them by nature.
