Description: Presents Britain's long-range plan for the education of children, resulting from an act passed in 1944. Contrasts the old system, in which no provisions were made for developing individual aptitudes, with the new school organization which not only provides a well-balance education, but gives each child a chance to develop his talents, whether they be of a technical or academic nature. Also describes the three types of schools that form the basic structure for this new educational venture.
