Tells the story of a day in the life of two boys and a girl living in a small Scottish fishing village as seen through their own eyes. The children are followed during the day as they walk through the village, buy fish, attend school and gather with other family members for meals. The highlight of the day is a trip aboard the father's fishing boat to a nearby town where on the children's tour they explore an old castle and here "through imagination" a Scottish Bagpipe band appears and briefly plays., The story of life in a fishing village on the eastern coast of Scotland. Scenes include bagpipe players in swirling kilts, home and school activities, a fish market and shipbuilding.
