for e well we've talked it over and I think everything's going to be all right and he's coming in here tomorrow and we're going to cure ourselves there's someone waiting go into the other room and the doctor will see you shortly so long [Applause] I was told by a friend tonight that I have VD this is a free clinic we can help you with VD first I don't uh know how I got it I don't have any symptoms you know I don't feel anything I don't know are there a lot of guys you could have given it to yeah part of treating VD is telling the guys so that they also can be treated they're going to find out soon enough there was one guy in particular Michael and he he has a girlfriend who has no idea that there was anything between us you know and uh I don't know how I could face them if I found out that I'd given him the disease you know the the first time that I met his girlfriend I wanted to be more like her she's beautiful and free like everything in [Music] nature [Music] for the last couple of days we've been talking about the male and some of the problems he encounters with the female it isn't as simple as it is with the male a man who gets burned by a girl with say clap usually knows about it within 3 Days To a week after contact and it hurts but the girl might carry clap or syphus for that matter up inside her where she hasn't any pain centers she may not feel anything except when she has her period she's liable to experience exceptionally extreme pains so when a girl doesn't know she has it her boyfriend can spread it around like pollen from a flower most of you know what the physical symptoms are but the but the biggest clue is your own behavior if you're exposing yourself do something to prevent infection use a condom and don't accept hearsay for advice save yourself a lot of pain and get the facts on prevention one thing's certain if you ever get it you'll never want to get it again if you're willing to throw C to the winds because you're frustrated remember that intercourse doesn't solve personal [Music] frustrations oh baby baby you are the one that I need to see you're the only one that's ever going to be know that you become a speci part of [Music] me now and forever and tomorrow you're the only one I know can make [Music] things [Music] don't kiss me too close I have a cold God what I told you I'm trying to be open with you it's it's not easy to be open with your parents you appreciate the what's to appreciate that you've gone and got yourself infected with something can't say it sticks in my throat now I suppose I can look forward to grandchildren who are born waterheads or blind or insane that is if my only son isn't sterile hav't you ever heard of pacilla happens it still happens I have to do something right away I made an a pointment doctor stops this afternoon he said he'd take me first thing Dr stops he brought you into this world you mean you'd go to him to have him treat you for a thing like [Music] that [Music] b let's going i' gone out tonight with this guy to the drivein and uh we were going to get something to eat and then all of a sudden you know another friend of mine comes running over and uh you know he was really excited and he told me that uh I heard him and that I had VD you know I I I couldn't believe him I mean and uh he told me that I should come here and I I didn't know what was happening you know I couldn't uh I really couldn't believe it so I came that's why I'm here wait outside and the doctor will see you soon okay and remember it's the disease we're fighting not people okay thanks a lot nameit I have a okay waiting see the doctor anybody name W see the doctor have my name but I'm kind of waiting he just told me to stick around he didn't call my name [Applause] let me get one of the nurses to help me have you ever had a pelvic examination before no please have a seat on the at the end of the table lay back and I'll put a sheet over you and put your feet here up in the stirups now be gentle and you shouldn't mind being examined you just take a deep breath and relax and it should be very easy for you I can feel very easily with my fingers in this place and I can outline the size and shape of your uterus and when you're able to relax just like that then I can feel these structures and that's all there is to it these are the areas that I can examine when I do a pelvic examination and it doesn't hurt you and it tells the doctor an enormous amount of things which makes it easy for you to know what's going on well that wasn't so bad was it Mark now I'm through examining you I know you were nervous but it wasn't that bad was it for the first pelvic I think we know what's going on and I'll just send you around the corner to the pharmacy and they'll fix you right up make sure that you take all the pills don't share them you know sometimes you'll have a friend who'll have the same symptoms or you know will'll be fairly sure they have the same disease and they want them don't do this you know you share the disease unless not share the pills uh Go the whole route take the whole course U as prescribed you know twice a day four to five days um the reason for this is that you know you may take four or five of the pills and then the symptoms will disappear you know the discomfort will leave the things you're cured but it's sort of like pouring water fire if you only pour in a half bucket it's not going to put it out you know you want to pour on enough so that it's completely snuff out for good and then uh undoubtedly if you follow thise you won't be back and you be cured there's a lot of talk going around about the detection and the Cure of this stuff and well a lot of it isn't relevant a lot of it is you have to sort through and choose the things that are important to you what you do is really your own business but what you do with your body is something you should consider especially when it relates to the bodies of others especially people you like or you love uh we're all pretty concerned about the air we breathe the water we drink and the planet we're living on and maybe it's time that we we really get in touch with ourselves with our bodies Our most immediate environment we start polishing that up and taking care of it so I may we can really relate and really care about the things around us [Music] more [Music] w
