Complete Record: 1.) 1948 Untitled: Woman with blonde,curly hair contorts and dances on stage wearing sequined shorts and short top. She bends herself backwards, walks on two hands, balances on elbows folds her body in half. The dirty blonde haired contortionist performs various tricks on a mirrored platform in front of the heavy cloth curtain. She balances on her chest and curls her legs behind her head to form a human ball. she bends backwards and puts her head in between her legs, then rests on her chest and kicks her legs over her head. While backwards, she lifts her curled body up onto her elbows. Various handstands and body twists while standing on head, she folds her legs and body over onto itself all while balancing on her head. She bends backwards and pulls her head and torso through her legs. Walks on hands while legs are folded over her head. She puts her head on the ground and runs her legs around in a circle, over her head. In place cartwheels, hand over foot for the finale. 2.) International Films Present: ‘Persian Harem Dance By Kyra’ 1949: Brown haired, thin woman dressed in flowing, see through skirt, and underwear dances in a lavishly decorated room. Carpets and patterned fabrics hang on the walls behind her stage. Brunette is sitting on floor and gets up to begin dancing. She moves around the space, twirling and flowing in her steps and movements. She does traditional-looking hip swaying, gyrations, and arm and hand movements, moving her head side to side, swishing her hips, raising her arms and hands and curling them around her head. Egyptian style dance moves, head bobs and hand movements. She is wearing a long, see-through headdress with tassels and gold trim, many bracelets and necklaces. She ends her dance in a half standing pose with crossed legs and arms crossed above her head. 3.) International Films Presents: ‘Parisian Can-Can Danced by Vavette’ 1949 A stage with hanging curtains in the background. A brunette woman comes out from behind the curtain wearing an elaborate headdress with feathers and a multilayered, sequined dress with lace layers and frilly edges. She kicks her legs high into the air while raising her dress to reveal layered shorts, garters and panty hoes. She wears high heeled white shoes. She moves around the stage raising her skit, doing cartwheels, kicking her legs and showing her underwear. Shots of legs, kicking and raising, she bounces around in a circle with one leg raised and swishing her dress around. She bumps her dress out with her butt and does various kicks and cartwheels. She ends with a round of flips and a mooning of the audience. 4.) “Kalantan in her Buddha Dance” 1949 A thick curtain is pulled aside to reveal a young female dancer wearing black, silver sequined bra, sleeves skimpy underwear and long tails of black fabric on the front, sides, and back of her underwear. She stands still as the curtain is pulled aside and slowly begins to gyrate her hips and ass in a circle, moving her arms around her body and above her head. She swishes her hips and body around, making circles with her hips and moving around a golden statue of Buddha. She dances in front of the statue, suggestively beckoning with her arms and pushing her butt and hips towards it. She moves around in front of the statue ,continuing to toss her hips and skirt and making circles with her body. The curtain closes as the dance ends. 5.) “How Females (and Males) Win Beauty Contests” 1949 A line of dark and light haired women are standing on a stage wearing only bathing suits (mostly older styled bikinis). they turn to the side in unison. “Before Contests, Get Plenty of Shut Eye” A brunette wearing underwear and a feathered night jacket sits up in bed and stretches, pulling her jacket apart slightly to show she’s not wearing a bra. “Stock up on Vitamins A-Z” A thin, curly-haired brunette sits at a kitchen table in a short skirt and top,eating. Get those curves in the right places” A group of women in skimpy clothes use dumbbells, jump ropes, and weights to exercise. A group of bodybuilder men wearing only underwear lift weight nearby in the small gym room. “Smiles and Showmanship Win the Judges” The camera moves down the line of women in bathing suits, each on turns and smiles for the camera. Brunettes, blondes, and redheads with curly and straight hair and thin lined eyebrows. the camera dollies across the women’s legs, showing their neat high heels, short skirts, and smooth legs. A panel of male and female judges sit at an elaborately decorated desk and watch as each contestant does a short modeling routine. A curly haired brunette in white panties and bra comes on and turns around then she lifts her hair and gives a sultry look. A redhead wearing a bun, layered bra and underwear and black heels turns around and stands contra posta. The camera slowly zooms out from a pair of legs to reveal a long-haired blonde who rotates and poses with her hands behind he neck. A curly brunette in plaid two piece walks out and poses from the side, arching her back and raising her chin slightly. Swipe to a curly haired brunette man in white underwear who flexes and shows off his huge muscles. Another tan man flexes and shows his arms, back, and chest muscles while smiling. Swipe to a perky brunette in frilly top and bottom who comes on stage, turns and presents herself energetically then exits left. Star swipe to a woman with long, shiny black hair holding a small golden statue. ‘The End’ 6.) Joe Bonica Presents: “The Movie of the Month” Movie Newsreels Release 1948 “Amalia Aguilar in Afro Mood” An African American looking woman with a pouffy afro, wearing elaborate, flowing top and half- skirt along with lots of beads, necklaces, bracelets, and large circular earrings. She raises herself off the stage floor and lifts a platter of grasses and foods towards the sky. she sets the plate down, shakes her hands at it and begins a suggestive dance. She throws her hips side to side, lifts her skirt and twists her body around in circles, removing parts of her headdress and using them to dance with. She shakes her hips and gyrates, swishes her butt side to side, and flails her arms wildly into the air, shaking and throwing her head and body back in a wild manner. She shakes her breasts and continues to wildly gyrate. She tosses her head back and spins around, ending by folding her ams down to her side and standing still. 7.) Joe Bonica Presents: “The Movie of the Month” Movie Newsreels Release 1948 “Rhumba Amalia” The same woman as in #6, wearing a V-neck top and wide, frilled half-skirt dances on a tropical themed stage with fake palm tree, Spanish style building front (plaster, brick, and clay roof). She shakes her breasts and moves quickly across the stage in a salsa styled dance. She tosses her skirt around and lifts it to dance, moving her whole body, flailing her arms and gyrating her hips. She shakes her butt and bends over backwards, shaking her body and winking at the camera. She wears flowers in her hair and has sequined, tasseled, and feathered clothes with shiny fishnet sleeves. She does a split while shaking her chest and tossing her skirt around. Opening and closing her skirt and throwing her arms around her body. END of REEL
