Description: . Buddhism is devoted to universal love and to human perfection--to the hope of Nirvana, or the absorption of Self by the Eternal. This is the way of Buddha, which each man must, like Buddha, find for himself. But within Buddhism, the way to salvation may differ. This film traces and compares the evolution of various sects and delineate their doctrines, while presenting a detailed overview of those tenets basic to the faith. The camera focuses on worship in India, Ceylon, Burma, Java, Tibet and other countries where Buddhism is a dominant faith. BUDDHISM is a graphic study of a religion which attempts to inspire human dignity and grace through the precept that existence is devine and all actions are religious.
