[Music] Well, I've got a girl. She's a living dog. And I love her. So, and it's my redemption to take her everywhere I go. Yeah. She's got a walk that'll knock you right off. And then you'll sit on. I know what you like. Give her what she wants. She's a detonated ball. Yeah. She's a hot hot tutty and she's got a lot on the ball. She's the kind that can make you love and you're not afraid to fall. Wo wo wo. I've been around in my time and I've had a lot of pretty girls. But the best one that I've ever had is my sugar pearl. Yeah, she's got a walk that'll knock you right off. The thing you're sitting on, I know what she likes and I give her what she wants. She's a detonated bar. Oh yeah, there we go now. [Music] Yes, she's got hot tutty. She's got lot on the ball. She's the kind that can make you love and you're not afraid to fall. This is it. Our last goodbye Christine. [Music] I started out to win your love the hard way. I tried to show my feelings every glance. I thought in time that you would learn to love me, but now I see I didn't have a chance. Goodbye, Christine. And I hope he makes you happy. Something I could never do. It seems I'll be leaving town tomorrow morning. This is it. Our last goodbye, Christine. [Music] I guess I was too much in love to notice the changes that were coming over you. Little things like holding hands and laughing. Little words like saying I love you. Goodbye Christine. I hope he makes you happy. Something I could never do. It seems I'll be leaving town tomorrow morning. This is it. Our last Goodbye Christine. Goodbye Christine. I hope he makes you happy. Something I could never do. Goodbye, Christie. [Music] [Music] I sold my farm to take my woman where she longed to be. We left our kin and all our friends back to her in Tennessee. I bought those oneway tickets she had often beg before and they took us to the streets of Baltimore. Her heart was filled with laughter when she saw those city lights. She said, "The prettiest place on earth is bald at night." Oh, a man feels proud to give his woman what she's longing for. And I kind of like the streets of Baltimore. [Music] Then I got myself a factory job. I ran an old machine. I bought a little cottage in a neighborhood serene. Every night I came home with every muscle soul. She would drag me through the streets of Baltimore. Well, I tried my best to bring her back to what she used to be. But I soon learned those bright lights meant much more to her than me. But I'm going back on that same train that brought me here before. While my baby walks the streets of Baltimore. [Music] While my baby walks the streets of Baltimore, [Music] [Music] just about a Year ago, I set out on the road, seeking my fame and fortune, searching for a pot of gold. Things got better, things got worse. I guess you know them, too. Oh Lord, stuck in Lord again. I came in on a greyhound. I'll be walking out if I go. I was just passing through. Must be seven months or more. I ran out of time and money. Looks like they took my friends. Oh Lord, I'm stuck in Lord again. The man from the magazine said I was on the way, but somehow I lost connections. I ran out of songs to play. I came in on a one night stand. Looks like my plans fell through. Oh Lord, stuck in love again. If only I had a dollar for every song I sung. For every time I've had to sing while people set their drone, you know I catch the next train back to where I live. Oh Lord, I'm stuck in love again. This is a story about the time I almost starved to death in St. John, New Brunswick. Well, I woke up Wednesday morning in my little motel bed, knowing I would die the minute that I moved my head. I felt around to make sure I was in my bed alone. I need some friendly people when I'm stone. Our payday was on Friday. I had two whole days to go. Even in my agony, I knew that I was broke. Let me pay the check, I said, and keep the change, my friend. She wiggled out of sight with my last 10. At noon, I realized there wasn't any way to eat. For lunch, I just went out and shuffled up and down the street. At 4:00, I had a funny feeling in my chest. How long's it take to starve a man to death? I found some pennies in my junk and bought a candy bar. Divided it in pieces, and I ate one every hour. I just rolled into town and didn't know a single soul. There wasn't any way to make a loan. [Music] Thursday morning, I was nearly panicked on the job. I heard my stomach growling and my head begin to drop. I contemplated murder of the folks that brought their lunch. The sudden smell of food would make me jump. Thursday night they ran all food commercials on TV. I slept till 9 or 10 and then I walked floor till 3. Friday morning I looked for some ketchup on my shirt. My mind was gone. My legs began to hurt. The last few minutes up to paying time were all the worst. The minutes were the years it took to build the universe. Finally, it came. I got my check and made a dash. Yes, I said the man will eat at last. Running down the sidewalk, I could see the word so sweet. The sign was flashing on and off. Eat, eat, eat. A half a pound of ground brown, man. Please don't cook it long. The sizzle of the grill is like a song. Well, I've traveled this world over and I ain't been hungry much. I've been down in my thinking and I've been down on my luck. But the sweetest meal I've ever had in anybody's town was a half a pound of plain ground round. [Music] That's hamburger steak in case you're wondering. [Music] We smoke marijuana here in Yorkville. We like to take our trips on LSD. [Music] We don't burn our wealth fair checks on Main Street cuz we like living easy and being free. We like making parties out of loving. We don't like holding hands and bitching. We like letting our hair grow long shaggy like the hippies down in moral do. And I'm proud to be a hippie from your girl. Respected people here can't have a ball. We still wave old glory down at city hall and John Lennon still the biggest thrill of all. Leather boots are not in style if the man needs footwear. Beads and Roman sandals are all that seen. Loving still the roughest thing on campus. And the kids here still respect the beat nic. [Music] I'm proud to be a hippie from your will. Respected people here can't have a ball. We still wave old glory down at city hall. And John Lennon still the biggest thrill of all. [Music] And John Lennon still the biggest thrill of all. Here's one for Canada. And Ny Street is still the biggest thrill of all. [Music] [Music] I remember to this day and the bright red Georgia clay how it stuck to the tires after the summer rain. Well, power made that old car go. A woman's mind told me that it's so. Oh, how I wish we were back on the road again. Me and you and a dog named Boo. Traveling and living off the land. Me and you and a dog named Boo. I love being a free man. I can still recall the wheat fields of St. P. And the morning we get caught robbing from an old hen. Old McDonald. He made us work. But then he paid us for what it was worth. Another tank of gas and we're back on the road again. Me and you and a dog named Boo. Traveling and living off the land. Me and you and a dog named Boo. I love being a free man. I'll never forget that day. We motored stately into Big LA. The lights of the city would settle down in my brain. Oh, it's only been a month or so. That old car is bugging us to go. We got to get away and get back on the road again. Me and you and a dog name. Traveling and living off the land. Me and you and a dog name. How I love being a free man. Me and you and a dog named Blue. Traveling and living off the land. Me and you and I love [Music] If three could be two. If one wasn't. If tomorrow could be yesterday, then you'd still love me, too, like I still love you. If tomorrow could be yesterday, [Music] but I don't have the power to turn back the hours to the time before he met you. If it's worries, I cried an ocean of tears. Cuz tomorrow it can't be yesterday. [Music] Although I don't have the power to turn back the hours to the time before he met you. If minutes were years, I'd write a notion of tears. Cuz tomorrow it can't be yesterday. No tomorrow can't be yesterday. [Music] Anyway, so you're making wedding plans and you're breaking our plans. Our congratulations to you and the lucky guy. Invitations have all been sent. The wedding day is all set. And I thought that I would fill the bill. [Music] not filled with the one. Your heart has won and now I'm as lonely as can be. He'll cut a wedding cake and his heart is going to break. And he'll be the first to kiss the bride. I lost all my pride when she told me goodbye. And I will be the one to lose in the end. But I still love her so he's got all the dough and all she sees are diamonds on her hands. So, you're making wedding plans and he'll get the first dance and he'll be the one who gets the last. He'll get the last dance, the last kiss. Then I will know that I have missed. The girl that I love. The girl that I have it on. The girl that would make my plans come complete. Now you're making wedding plans and it's out of my hands. Congratulations to you and the lucky guy. So you're making wedding plans. You're making wedding plans. So you're making wedding plans. You're making wedding plans. You're
