Description: This 6-minute 4-second black-and-white film documents street-level police activity in a Black Los Angeles neighborhood during the late 1960s. The film opens with several officers in white riot helmets and dark uniforms escorting and arresting civilians outside a residential building. A subsequent scene shows a man in a wide-brimmed hat speaking with an officer on the front steps of a wooden house (address 961 visible). Later scenes pull back to a busy commercial street intersection showing vintage cars, what appear to be military/National Guard trucks, and officers on foot patrol — suggesting a major civil unrest response being documented from street level.
