Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador PULLED

Locates the three Andean countries of South America on a map, and then depicts the peoples and their ways of life. Nearly half of the inhabitants are pure Indian and many of them live just as their ancestors did a thousand years ago. Traces of pre-Columbian cultures are seen. Describes climate, farming methods, industries and the major products (sugar in Peru and tin in Bolivia). Points out that far reaching social reforms, changes in government, better education and more effective exploitation of natural resources are the keys to a better life in the Andean countries.
