A portrait of Bill Fitzgerald, a seventh generation blacksmith. Follows Fitzgerald as he makes his rounds in upstate New York and shows him forging a shoe, servicing the riders at a horse show and making elegant fire tools from iron. Fitzgerald explains his craft and relates the history of blacksmithing.
