Complete Record: When Weird Harold’s uncle lends Harold his racing bicycle for a month, Harold breaks all the rules. He becomes a careless rider. He loves to show off by riding too fast and taking his friends for rides on the handlebars. Despite Fat Albert’s warnings, Harold zips down sidewalks, nearly missing pedestrians. A police officer gives Harold a warning and a list of bicycle safety rules to follow. Harold memorizes them but does not obey. Then one day while racing down the sidewalk with Rudy in the handlebars, Harold crashes into an old lady and sends her to the hospital, but luckily she is released. Harold learns his lesson, and the boys are driven home by a doctor who shows Harold and Rudy the victims of bicycling accidents. Finally the boys understand how serious biking accidents can be, and they learn that a cyclist who ignores the rules is a danger to himself and a threat to others.
