Microscopic views of a drop of water from an aquarium show single-celled organisms of both the animal and vegetable worlds living and co-existing with the many-celled ones, each dependent on the other. Some of these single-celled protozoans, such as amoeba and paramecium are seen feeding by trapping their prey, and reproducing by splitting into two parts. The camera then focuses on the tiny zebra fish in the aquarium, recording courtship rites, egg-laying and fertilization, and development of new life in the translucent eggs., Explores the micro-world of life in a drop of aquarium water, and the reproductive cycle of the zebra fish.
