Description: Directed by Alan Alda, “Betsy’s wedding” is about a father (Alda) who must survive his daughter’s wedding, with all its fractious factions, complications, cost, deal making and emotional turmoil. An intermittently amusing work, with the highlight being Anthony La Paglia’s turn as a mobster’s nephew who falls for the bride’s policewoman sister.
