Description: In this 1953 episode of Betsy and the Magic Key, Betsy and Mama Bear spoil Skipalong D. Bunny’s plan to shield Alex Frog from the Cupid-like effects of the Puppetanian Three-Quarter Moon. Betsy and the Magic Key was a children’s television program created by John W. Richey, president of the Houston-based Children’s Television Films, in 1952. While the first few episodes were produced in New York, the quarter-hour series soon became an entirely Texas affair. Jamieson TV Productions, the television arm of the Dallas-based Jamieson Film Company, shot the program while the Sue Hastings Marionette Organization, also of Dallas, operated the puppet characters.
