Description: Documents the humanitarian work of Bethune, a brilliant Canadian doctor. Presents sketches of his life during the Spanish Civil War and with the Chinese Peoples Army during World War II. Uses filmclips and interviews of close friends to present Bethune's loves, personality and drives, and his reactions to the 1930's and early 1940's.

Complete Record: A documentary on the life of Dr Norman Bethune, who opened up Spain’s first blood bank during the Spanish Civil War, and went to China where he acted as doctor on the famous “long march”. Using graphic film clips, stills and interviews with colleagues Dr Bethune’s legendary career is presented.
