Spoof of "A Star Is Born" type stories. Instant stardom for Ann Margaret as Ruby, who also falls in love with a sailor/songwriter who just happens to catch her act. But the theater is scheduled to be torn down, and the company moves on board ship. Lots of musical and dance numbers.
