Description: Last reel of the silent comedy "Behind the Front".
The film was broken into reels approximately 15 minutes in length for the rental market.

"Riff Swanson has his pocket picked by light-fingered Shorty McGee and chases him into the Bartlett-Cooper mansion, where Betty Bartlett-Cooper is recruiting soldiers for the war in France. Betty persuades each of them in turn that she loves only him, and they both enlist. They are sent to France and become buddies, distinguishing themselves not at all and spending their time either in the guardhouse or on lunatic patrols in no man's land. After the war they return to the United States in time to see their mutual sweetheart married to Percy Brown, the son of the hardtack king."

"Behind the Front was the first in a series of wartime comedies starring Wallace Beery and Raymond Hatton, followed by We're in the Navy Now (1926, see entry) and Now We're in the Air (1927, see entry).
