Battle for bread

Description: The film stresses the importance of food in a world that has never produced enough for everyone, and describes the efforts of FAO to stimulate food production in many countries. After a preliminary survey of the food problem in war-torn countries, the film describes the working of the FAO program; agricultural machinery to China, international conferences on poison sprays for insects, the fight against animal diseases, encouragement to farmers to grow new kinds of crops.
