Baama: land of the red gums

Description: An impression of the wild life along the River Murray, through the eyes of an old aboriginal fisherman (Aaron Briggs). Shows in particular the water birds of the swamps west of Albury; pelicans, herons, ibis, grebe, reed warblers, kites and cormorants. The connections of the various creatures and places along the river with tribal legend and tradition are recalled by the old fisherman. Photographed and recorded by David Corke and Peter Bruce. Narrated by John Morgan.
