foreign all right hi everybody I'm skip Alzheimer welcome to the AV Geeks lunchtime streaming show where we watch old 16 millimeter films and think about them um and then sometimes forget to mute the computer that we use to figure out if we're actually broadcasting um hope everybody had a good Easter break or is having a good Easter break uh it was gross and rainy here until yesterday then it was very nice um and I got the last box of Black Jelly Beans at my local grocery store it's huge normally uh I get black jelly beans towards the beginning of the Easter uh merchandising at the grocery store but uh we've gone through three of them because of the grocery store that I go to appreciates black jelly beans so thumbs up all right uh let's see let's talk about the National Arboretum shall we enjoy about three miles Northeast of the Capitol along the Anacostia River Rise one of the most tranquil and beautiful spots in the nation full Arboretum [Music] The National Arboretum is a Living Museum a national collection of trees and Woody plants the 415 acres are landscaped to enhance their natural beauty [Music] [Applause] Regal and romantic Camellias thrive in a natural setting of Oak and tulip trees [Music] daffodils Herald the Advent of spring Magnolias Bloom from Spring to late summer more than 250 kinds of crabapples grow at the Arboretum [Music] pink dogwoods add their color to the spring bloom along with the native white dogwood [Music] azaleas more than 70 thousand are a special attraction in early May with their massive brilliant color scattered through the azaleas and along shaded Ravines rhododendrons Bloom from mid-may into June [Music] foreign Valley is a planned nature trail within the Arboretum Lacey Ferns and wildflowers were set out by members of the national capital area Federation of garden clubs [Music] native Woodland covers about 40 percent of the arboretum's grounds ponds add quiet charm to restful Meadows day lilies and peonies make this little garden a popular spot [Music] oh [Music] the golden deodar Cedar marks the approach to one of the world's finest collections of dwarf conifers more than 1500 slow-growing conifers gathered from the Orient Europe and the United States were given to the Arboretum in 1962 by William Catelli this famous collection contains many different low-growing and spreading plants suitable for ground covers Brighton with perennial flowers and with Oddities like the Weeping blue spruce [Music] many of the trees and Woody plants at the National Arboretum were given by private citizens like Mr Catelli or by organizations such as the American Association of Nursery men the Garden Club of America and the Women's National farm and garden Association The National Arboretum is more than a museum for many it's a classroom a popular place to study native and cultivated plants the national capital area Federation of garden clubs provides volunteer guides for group tours [Music] The National Arboretum is also a plant Library its herbarium contains three hundred thousand dried plant specimens carefully classified in full references for scientists and teachers from all parts of the world herbarium files use many techniques to Aid in plant classification such as this core print made by the Crabapple specialist [Music] the living part of this library is on the grounds where labels identify countries of origin and give common and Botanical names The National Arboretum is a Showplace and testing ground for ornamentals brought back from plant Explorations around the world [Music] a new ornamental and shade tree at its Beginnings in seeds sent back from China in 1916. the Bradford Pear blooms early in the spring it offers heavy green Foliage for Pleasant summer shade and blazes red gold and all generally without fruiting it's Chinese Mountain ancestry gives it hardiness it will grow in most of the United States [Music] today the Orient still attracts explorers looking for desirable species not found at home the hills and mountains of Taiwan offer many unexplored areas rich in plant specimens a modern Plant Explorer from the Department of agriculture's new crops research branch is familiar with plant growth habits flower and leaf characteristics he can single out the different and valuable plants almost at a glance [Music] this time it is a maple with unusual foliage [Music] seeds and cuttings are precious cargo an investment in the future beauty of American Gardens [Music] records are important even on the trail to assure accurate identification when the collections get back to the States the Department's Explorations for new ornamentals are financed by the Longwood Gardens located at Kennett Square Pennsylvania findings are distributed by the new crops research Branch to cooperating operator for testing and development this Azalea is one of the Woody plant introductions tested at the National Arboretum [Music] these new chrysanthemum varieties shown at Longwood are among the other plant discoveries shared by the department with Cooperators one single chrysanthemum Discovery illustrates the value of these explorations it already has earned more than a million dollars for U.S florists [Music] in nature cross pollination is haphazard at the Arboretum it is it is a planned part of the work that makes the National Arboretum a research laboratory transfers pollen from an early blooming White Magnolia to another variety he is seeking a new plan with hardiness and other features of the Stella parrot and some purple tones from the second foreign scientists have developed many new varieties of ornamentals a crepe myrtle that's mildew resistant [Music] an azalea with a delicate off-white color [Music] pyrocantha resistant to fire blight viburnum showing improved fruit color hibiscus with added hardiness Holly with foliage similar to boxwood a crab apple named Fuji a new double flowering variety the Arboretum ships its new developments to other Botanic Gardens and to cooperating nurseries an important link between the Arboretum and the homeowner the Arboretum develops basic plant materials but does not sell plants the cooperating nurseries take the new developments and build up planting stock for home gardeners in this way the impact of the National Arboretum is felt throughout America in yards and gardens around the nation's capital [Music] in homes and neighborhoods in the West the Midwest [Music] the South the Southwest [Music] the North your National Arboretum is many things a Living Museum a research laboratory a source of new Beauty a place where you can see the heart of a blossom [Music] and witness the miracle of the changing seasons in their full Beauty of it is a place for you to visit to enjoy at all times of the year [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] so the USDA had their own film unit and there's quite a few films that they did and this is obviously one of the more picturesque and less livestocky or um pesticide uh version of what they normally do which is they do a lot of they made a lot of stuff for farmers and for uh Cattlemen and the such so uh yes very pretty past the world okay uh behind me I have a film scanner and I have a very red film set up on the film scanner this is enjoying paintings enjoy [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] sure what's going on with the uh look see it's bouncing it's not even moving that's really annoying uh let's watch uh women at work challenge choice change Choice challenge enjoy and the girls who are making career choice decisions should be made aware that they do in fact have choices that they may make not that someone else has already made for them women in the workforce no longer are some kind of Oddity or some kind of Rarity they will continue to exist in greater numbers I do believe in the right to fulfill your goal and whatever career you choose and it's just proving yourself and not buckling under the pressure actually since I've always been a woman I didn't realize it was so unique not to be I never realized what I was doing was unusual [Applause] foreign [Applause] they can dig ditches and they can go to medical school and they can become lawyers [Applause] if you suddenly took all the women out of the labor market the standard of living of many families would drop A Woman's Place Is A Woman's Place she's got her job to do it the man has his job to do and it's true they cannot do the type of physical work that's required of them yet they want to compete for those jobs there's no reason why if they can equal the strength they cannot do the same activities exactly as men exactly if they can duplicate the activity why not in our line of business they couldn't carry scaffolding set up heavy scaffolding that's beyond their means what changed our lives so radically of course was the Industrial Revolution when work moved out of the home foreign as we become much more technical work does not depend on brime [Applause] but you can't say it's man's work or women's work because we all have certain capabilities many men cannot go out and lift heavy items or do a heavy manual labor any more than many women have always been part of the workforce whether that's been paid work or whether it's been forging the New Frontier and nobody ever thought it was so weird for the woman to help build the house and to make the clothes and to do all that as machine power replaces muscle power as child care and Home Care no longer occupy a major portion of a woman's life more and more women are planning careers nine out of ten women today will work at some time in their lives whether it's called a job a career or a profession new Lifestyles together with changing attitudes and laws now make it possible for women to choose work they like from a wider range of occupations more and more women are making sure they get the educational training that can open doors for them women who are taking advantage of these new opportunities of women who feel that they have the capabilities and work as well as men have I didn't come for the jab right off the street somebody told me about the pay I thought they were joking hard hat and Boots forget it you know but when I figured out the money I said well I should at least give it a try the first day I came in here they showed me around the plant and they said well you have to climb up here so I just did I just figured well that's part of the job there's always a pipe to hang on to if you feel insecure you don't think about the height or the vapors or what's in there you just think oh that's an oil refinery they make gasoline the heights really don't bother me too much I found out it took me a long time to even begin to understand that I thought a pump was a pump when I would say the pump is doing this when men would say you know which part of the pump and I'd say I don't know which part of the pump the pump now it isn't so much a question of whether a woman's needed to fill this jabbernet it's a question of whether the woman needs the jab I need the jab as bad as me because I don't I can't make this kind of money and Sport three kids unless I have a job like 80 hours and seven days kind of cash the paycheck and go to the store and spend it I feel really good at work if I don't look at it as man or woman and you just hope that more like you that I don't like you no I'm not going to let the kids paint their own room they want to they all want to pay Mac and we have a paintbrush no they cannot have a paintbrush I already told them that I have a good deal of Independence working now I never thought of coming to an oil refinery or doing men's work or anything in that order I just thought of the money this is Alvarez all right thank you very much yeah funny thing about it I had no nurses in the family Dr Cartwright you need it downstairs again I enjoyed working with people even as a teenager I thought that maybe nursing was the type of thing that I should go into I've never been dissatisfied with my decision [Music] Hi boss how long have you been sick oh about four days about four days what's been your problem um really bad you know looking at medicine nauseous uh you're talking about at least 10 to 12 years take any medicine today oh a little hour you're also talking about a great deal of self-sacrifice a great deal of putting off what you really want to do nursing you're talking about three to four years nothing since then no with nursing I felt that I could still function as an individual and still be doing the type of nursing that I wanted to do and for me that's important have you had anything to eat today no how about last night on just a little bit in time I'd like to become a nurse practitioner I think that nurses in an expanded role as practitioners where we can do routine physical exams this is a role that nurses can take on and I would like to take that on okay for as long as I can remember the first thing I ever wanted to do was was be around horses if I was late and good on a racehorse and I was going to try to be a jockey the tradition has always been men in this business up until maybe 15 20 years ago they didn't they wouldn't let a woman on the backside around the barns that was something they did not do a lot of the Fright comes from the parents and teachers your parents always taught you you can't go play baseball that's not what a little girl does you it's just because of tradition tradition I think has kept women out of a lot of jobs [Music] [Applause] well I'm under constant stress we travel with pretty good speed out there and there's a lot of stress a lot of pressure you know I feel it but I have no trouble handling it women has been generalized by a few who can't handle themselves and break under pressure you really got to be completely dedicated to this business otherwise you might as well not even try right up that was a first and I'm black they were just as happy to see me as I was to get here being a double minority I found a necessary to write a little bit while the opportunity was there because two years from now it may not be there well it's difficult to familiarize yourself with air brakes and pressure and equalizers and reservoirs I enjoy driving and I bike Machinery but Indians don't frighten me or anything you know I have to be alert I'm carrying lives the people that travel the commuters it's very important to them because most of them work in the city [Applause] engineer position I'm sitting and I'm observing signals position that was by some people behind me saying oh she'll never make that gives you a lot of drive right there [Applause] right now in this program I'd like to get to be top engineer take that long Road Haul it's a classical x-rays I see people coming up in medicine certainly there are more women with each entering medical class the most important thing when you're deciding on what you want to do is to sit down and say what makes me happy what do I like to do and then try to see how a career can go about implementing that Direction at the level of the of the aqueduct it never actually occurred to me not to have a career I've always enjoyed schoolwork for any career is demanding of time you obviously have to give up something I think this is where many women become frustrated when they get into careers is that they suddenly realize frequently they are going to have to delay marriage and children because you don't have the time to develop in both ways you have to realize that it's going to take longer for you to acquire many of the things that people that aren't involved in careers can have right away being a woman is something that you can't hide by putting a person at a certain job or in certain uniforms you walk in with an idea of I am a doctor I'm going to do my best to help this particular individual I think it's part of the concept if I'm a person trying to do a job rather than I'm a woman trying to do a job medicine in general and surgery in particular it's not just a career it's a way of life and if you're willing to do it and if you want to do it you'll be happy doing nothing else one of the most important things in surgery is you have to be able to say I don't know and this is very hard for many people you either sort of have it or you don't you have to have a desire to make things better primarily what surgery is all about of course is making life better that's why I got into the business in the first place you have to be able to watch a lot of very good people die and to stand by and realize that you can't help them this also is a very difficult thing to do the image of the doctor is changing my career in medicine is going to be totally different than someone starting 30 years ago we're going to get through only if we do develop the ability to look at ourselves very asked me whether or not I felt obliged to be a better judge than a man would be and I had to be honest about and I said no just wear the witness's Facebook yes Witnesses please I said you forget about my being a woman because I'm not thinking about it I established that so that we don't have role playing yeah when I went into law school I felt very good about my own femininity it's hard to tell the mothers three children that she's not a woman now I'm 46 and people say well you're supposed to be upset and uptight every day and I just feel great I don't have this feeling that youth is leaving me around the corner and somehow I've got to try faster to keep up with it no that has not been established conclusively that he's not the father of the child I don't think there's any stage in our present day life where a woman can say I know I'm taken care of well Council I think the court realizes that these meetings sometimes are the beginning of a Reconciliation The Surge and family income we've had in the last 10 years hasn't been due just to salary increases but the fact that there's two people bringing home the bacon I work because I need the money women are living longer and in this day and age every woman has a responsibility to take care of herself notice of the hearing will I get a copy of your order yes most women get into politics out of wanting good government they sometimes don't go as far as men have gone supposedly because they don't have the same quest for power and money apparently now I think that women are certainly going to have that Quest too but I would like to think that what they will bring to the public sphere is this sense of helping things to grow you know I he does that with all of his candidates and information on registration here if you know any people who aren't registered and I have been a full-time Homemaker for 15 years so I'm prepared for the fact of doing twice as many things we need sometimes to try two or three things in our life before we ever hit upon the thing that we really want to do women no longer have to make the choice between family and career it is possible to combine them [Applause] [Music] the thing I really like about campaigning about politics is the people the reward of course is being able to use what you perceive to be your talents to help people's lives be better I see government as the means to do that for me that is the most exciting thing in the world that I could be doing we can't be shutting doors for women that say no that's not ladylike or that's not feminine the ultimate put down but you don't want to be one of the boys the point is you do want to be one of the boys because one of the things that you hope to do in this process is to help the boys be better from police we have a report of an auto accident with multiple injuries opportunities are opening up for women and women are being able to find that they have almost every career open to them if they really feel they're good and they try for it [Applause] so there's more help wanted for women I think we're going to see the day where men are going to be secretaries I think they're going to be forced to just to get a job it's an interesting comment because originally all secretaries were men and when men got tired of being secretaries then women took it over and when they got tired of being telephone operators women got it jobs in the factories that men didn't want women got the message is you can do anything you want to do there are certain choices you have to make a man makes the same choice [Applause] hello very simply put it's doing something every day that you want to do in a very long training program like medicine certainly financially one is going to be on the Poor Side of things for for many many years and that's just something that one mustn't become bitter about or disillusioned about women themselves individual women have to decide themselves whether or not they want to take that step to maturity when I got this job as judge many men were upset they felt if she could have it I should have had it will continue to fight the struggle for women is still in its infancy profit from sex discrimination it's women's fault we're more than half the population if you take women working in offices or something like that and if they do the job I think they should get equal pay like what they're talking for when discrimination comes most of the times you're not prepared to deal with it emotionally if from the beginning you have not been taught to be yourself and to speak out for what you think is right and what you think is wrong when you decide I want to have that job then you have to make up your mind that you're going to fight for it no matter how many disappointments you're going to get if that is what you really want to do you're not going to make a change unless you're forcing a change maybe women are fortunate that they have the option at this point in time of making that choice of what kind of a job they want to have you know even if I didn't work here I would go back to working someplace else it gives me a sense that I know something in life with Liberation comes responsibility and women are going to be more responsible for their lives I think that women are seeking a chance to fulfill their own Ambitions and goals that expression does not come easily to them because of barriers they're put in the way it's the freedom of choice women are going to have to struggle for it but there are many Humane good people who are going to assist them in doing it still they're going to have to fight we always have to fight for things that we really want nothing comes easy they want other things besides the money the money may not be the biggest thing for some women some women may want just to get out and do something I think each person has to examine what's best for their life and what meets their needs and their families needs they should make these choices because they feel good about them it's their life and they should feel good about what they're doing in a job it was like well that's interesting I wonder how much that pays um we need somebody to fly these hang gliders from up on top of this Cliff all the way down into the valley and uh [Laughter] anyways uh let's see so I I think I fixed the scanner let's try to enjoy enjoying paintings again enjoy [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] is talking to you with words you know the language you understand someone else is talking to you but not with words do you understand the language [Music] how does a proud artist speak who in youth was famous rich and loved but now has lost everything in his self-portraits what does he say about old age [Music] about death [Music] what's the difference in these two paintings not in what's being said really but in how it's being said in the visual language [Music] foreign [Music] much of the enjoyment of paintings comes from learning how the painter speaks his language isn't words and sentences but line shape and color in good paintings the lines are carefully planned and developed [Music] the lines help unify the painting and hold the different elements together and keep the viewer's eye within the painting here though we've made the lines unrelated [Music] the objects don't seem to fit together and the Lions accidentally lead your eye out of the painting [Music] the flowing lines of the painting visually reinforce and repeat the idea music [Music] often the artist uses line to guide your eye throughout the painting and to call attention to the other elements he wants to emphasize [Music] thank you the artist can use line to suggest tension and violent action [Music] or he can use line to give a sense of movement and direction notice how the artist has used line here pull the different elements together how the man's arm is placed so it makes a continuous line with the side of the boat or how this line is repeated throughout the painting [Music] and repeat and Vary a line to create linear rhythm [Music] the second element in the painter's vocabulary is shape the shape is something like the filled in outline or silhouette of objects the Bold simple shapes make a pleasing pattern without details or color and serve as a strong foundation for the realistic details [Music] we've made pattern of shapes less pleasing [Music] the shape seem isolated and not as well related individual details are organized here into two strong opposing diagonal shapes balanced by three vertical shapes the placement and relationship of the shapes are thought out and harmonious [Music] often traditional painters extended shape to include all three dimensions they were concerned with the relationships of volume or form [Music] these painters stroll for an illusion of recession of deep space it was as though the frame were a hole in the wall a window and the painting of you outside [Music] modern painters see a painting not as a window but as a flat surface with paint on it they're more concerned with flat shapes and shallow space [Music] they feel that it isn't just the content or the real objects that make a painting it's the skillful manipulation of abstract elements like shape [Music] many abstract paintings don't have another subject the shapes are the subject [Music] [Applause] [Music] finally a third element of the painter's vocabulary is color and it's here in color that many modern painters differ from the Old Masters foreign [Music] usually in traditional paintings the colors are closely related and subtle the power of the painting coming from strong line and shape relationships [Music] in many modern paintings color is the most important element [Music] when the color is removed line in shape alone can't make the statement [Music] a good painting whether modern or traditional uses particular colors to suggest its emotional meaning the repetition of the Reds blacks and whites creates a lively abstract color Rhythm and contributes to the feeling of a happy wedding dance [Music] [Music] here the artist has boldly divided his painting into two large opposing color masses to integrate the work he added fragments or reminders of each color in the other color masks and so using color he unified the painting line shape and color three important tools in the visual language of painting they are how the painter makes his statement and the statement is a Feeling an emotion a way of seeing that someone the painter hopes to share with you [Music] thank you [Music] someone is talking to you all right it's kind of weird um yeah I'm not able to monitor on my regular computer like I used to be able to so I'm not 100 sure what's going on there Shenanigans uh this next film is about uh the calendar and this is the second edition of that so enjoy wow here are Robert and Kathy and their Uncle Frank they all have lots of days to remember birthdays holidays special days and like everyone else they use the calendar to help them do that except Uncle Frank that is Uncle Frank hardly ever uses the calendar he just uses his memory or at least he tries to uh let's see September 3rd that's uh three weeks before no uh six days after June of course that gets him into a lot of trouble he never seems to know when special days are coming up like people who use calendars do for the last three days of course this isn't the only calendar Robert and Kathy could use calendars come in lots of shapes and sizes big ones little ones calendars all on one sheet calendars with separate pages calendars and date books and on desks and wall calendars but they are all alike in an important way they all help us keep track of time and that's what Robert and Kathy's calendar helped them do one day they were out in the yard with Frank when Kathy remembered something Robert isn't uncle Frank's birthday pretty soon birthday they thought it wasn't very far off so they went into the house to look at their calendar my birthday [Music] Robert and Kathy's calendar has one page for each month of the year how many months are there 12. each one has a name and they have a certain order the year starts with January we'll explain what those orange boxes are later the next month is do you know February if you can say the rest then come March April May June July August September October November and the last month is December my birthday is in November [Music] every space with a number in it means another day since this is October these spaces stand for the days in that month Robert and Kathy knew uncle Frank's birthday was on November 3rd and that today's date was October 24th they knew that because that was the date on today's newspaper so to find out how many days there were until Frank's birthday they needed to start on October 24th and count spaces to November 3rd this is October 24th that's what this 24 means the 24th day of October so Robert and Kathy started counting spaces from here we can count with them one two three then go down to the next row and keep on Counting four five six seven they found that there were seven days from here to the last day of October then they turn the page to the next month November and kept counting remember we're on seven now eight nine ten that's it November 3rd uncle Frank's birthday there were 10 days from October 24th to November 3rd so Robert and Kathy knew that there were 10 days until Uncle Frank's birthday they decided that now would be a good time to go get him a present [Music] thank you foreign ER can tell us many things not just how many days there are to a special day it also tells us the names of the days a calendar can do this because of the way it's made imagine the numbers weren't written in for the days of this month this is how they would get put in every day of the month has a number a month starts with number one that's the first day of the month this month is October so this is October 1st or the 1st of October or October 1 there are different ways you can say it the next day is number two the second day of the month October 2nd and the third is number three the third day of the month and then the fourth and fifth and sixth and so on until the end of October which is 31 or October 31st the last number always tells us how many days there are in a month so anyone looking at this page knows that October has 31 days up here are the names of the days of the week one at the top of each column seven columns and seven days the First Column is headed sun which stands for Sunday if we put in the whole word Sunday on this calendar it would be too big for the box it would stick out on the sides so we just shorten the word to Sun s-u-n is an abbreviation for Sunday we can use abbreviations for the other days of the week too the day after Sunday is Monday abbreviated m-o-n you can say the rest of the days if you like Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday and Saturday that's seven days Sunday to Saturday or one week on a calendar any row of seven days all the way across is one week this is one week for instance and so is this but any seven days one after the other make a week two so this is a week and this is a week all of the days in each column come on the day of the week that's printed at the top of the column for instance all of these days are Tuesdays and all of these days are Wednesdays and all of these are Fridays now Robert and Kathy wondered what day of the week uncle Frank's birthday was on first they found the right date November 3rd then they looked at the top of the column November 3rd was in and what did it say Saturday so they knew uncle Frank's birthday was going to be on a Saturday that's a good day for a party no school and most people don't work then either so Robert and Kathy decided to have a surprise party for Uncle Frank [Applause] thank you a few days later Robert and Kathy were seeing how many days were still left before Frank's birthday when Robert noticed something that we've noticed before that one of the days was colored differently from the others Kathy knew what that meant it meant it was a holiday Robert knew that that wasn't the only holiday so he looked for some others in some other months he found many of them the first day in January is a holiday New Year's Day and in February there's Valentine's Day all over the world people use the calendar to keep track of days that are special in their countries the Fourth of July for instance is Independence Day only in the United States the 14th of July is Bastille Day a special day for people in France the second Monday in October is Thanksgiving Day in Canada so the days of October passed Robert was especially happy when October 31st came because that was one of his favorite holidays Halloween oh [Music] another thing the calendar is good for is to keep track of other kinds of special days like the day library books are due so you won't forget to return them or the day when you are going to see a play or the day you visit your grandparents well Halloween was the last day of October the 31st the next day Rob returned the page to November it began on a Thursday he expected November to begin on a Monday like October did but it didn't this is why it didn't the last day of October the 31st came on a Wednesday so the next day November 1st was a Thursday the next day of the week a month can begin on any day of the week Robert also noticed that while October had 31 days November only had 30 days this made him curious so he looked at the other months he saw that some had 30 days some had 31 and one had only 28. Kathy knew a rhyme to help remember all this 30 days half September April June and November of the rest had 31 except February which has 28 and leap year gives it an extra date then Kathy showed Robert another way to remember the number of days in each month you can use your knuckles you start here the high places stand for the months with 31 days the places between them the Low Places stand for the shorter months January this is a high place so January has 31 days February this is a low Place usually only 28 days March 31 days April a low Place 30 days May 31 days June 30 days July 31 days then start again August 31 days September 30 days October 31 days November 30 days and December 31 days November made Robert think of something he thought he should probably lock the closet in order to keep uncle Frank's birthday present safe so he went to do that laughs so as Robert and Kathy know the calendar does many things it tells us the months in order and the number of days in each month it can help us find the number of days between two dates [Music] it tells us the names of the days of the week and helps us remember holidays and special days in all of these ways the calendar helps us keep track of time well time kept passing the days kept going by and it was getting closer and closer to Uncle Frank's birthday finally November 3rd arrived and Uncle Frank found out what he was getting for his birthday a pair of roller skates and a calendar [Music] cheesy [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Applause] thank you [Applause] [Applause] you ain't worse [Music] foreign [Applause] [Music] [Applause] foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] faith GTP [Music] ad [Music] uh so somebody I think it was Nathan said hey there's that peep thing that you did a couple years ago and this was I think the first year of the pandemic and we were going a little stir crazy so we we did this peep joust thing with some friends of ours the Easter before and so we were going to try to do something the next Easter but we were on our own my wife and I Katrina uh and so we did it and then I got overwhelmed and I didn't edit it and present it until the following year so this was probably 2021 that we showed it premiered it and so I felt like I needed to bust it out again um the problem with that is that I did eat one or two of the peeps uh and they are disgusting I might you might say like how is it that you like black jelly beans but you don't like marshmallow peeps well the promise of marshmallow peeps is never fulfilled in my mind uh so that's just me and my candy choices hope you don't uh judge me for that uh thank you Kevin for the uh five dollars for a cheap uh or peep 316. um we'll be back again tomorrow we'll show you some more films it'll be great uh look at the calendar and you'll see that tomorrow is Tuesday um everybody have a great rest of your day as always we love films and we love the fact that you guys love films and we will see you tomorrow everybody take care
