hi everybody i'm baby geeks um i was hoping to be live today but my sinuses have proven to be a problem so i'm actually at the doctors excuse me anyways uh today we're going to watch two christian tv programs the first one is by the christopher's which was a catholic uh informational organization started by father keller i have other films made by the christopher's mostly ones that talk about religious freedom but also about the the [Music] threat of communism and how you should get involved in local government to thwart local communists um and things along those lines so it's kind of fascinating but this is more of a talk show so there's a little bit of a story at the beginning but then there's um guests there's musical guests and then of course father keller who's the guy who started christopher's he's the main guy he's the celebrity so here is the christopher program enjoy [Music] and if everyone lit just one little candle what a bright world this would be hello friends i am jay carol nash and i am here to help present the christopher program but first i would like to introduce father james keller founder of the christopher's willa mr nash you've been very generous to the christopher program we appreciate having you back again thank you father would you please uh start off our program for us i'll be delighted thank you today's christopher story might aptly be called recognition is not everything it concerns an incident in the life of the 19th century french painter paul cezanne though he is known today as the father of modern art he struggled for 35 years in complete oblivion and during those years he worked and painted unceasingly his hours were spent because of his love of art rather than his desire for recognition his paintings were hung only in the homes of indifferent neighbors then one day the chance visit of a paris art dealer changed suzanne's whole life the dealer took several canvasses and arranged to have them exhibited in paris the great of the art world were stunned because they recognized the master's technique and approach suzanne himself was astonished but for a very different reason when he arrived at the gallery on the arm of his son what he saw brought tears to his eyes look he whispered safe they framed them that's a good example of the humility of the great isn't it father killer yes it is j carol nash and friends it's wise for all of us to be very humble in the sight of god everything that we possess we've received from him and incidentally it's merely alone and one day each one of us you and you and you and myself must stand before almighty god and answer for the way we abuse the talent small or large that he has entrusted to us in an effort to help you to discover and put to effective use your power for good we bring you this christopher program week after week we try to remind you that there is something that you as one individual can do that no other person can accomplish god himself is assigned a mission in life for you to perform and that mission is delegated to no other living individual so we constantly say that instead of keeping your good ideas to yourself put them to work apply them in your own home at your office in the classroom on the bus in the factory anywhere and everywhere and make a special effort to blend the changeless truths of christ into every nook and corner of public as well as private life especially in such vital fields as government education literature entertainment and labor relations we heard not long ago from a man in upstate new york who is showing a lot of initiative along christopher lyons while working each day for a living he is also taking a correspondence course so that he will be fitted to play a more active and intelligent role in raising the standards of government god bless them for it now friends it is time for a visit with our guests friends as our guest on this christopher program we have mr edward l kelly and he is a specialist in toys i think you're uh what is the you tell the name of your firm uh louis marx and company we're the largest manufacturers of toys in the world the largest in the world well uh uh what is your uh post for them i'm in the uh sales department well you have to scatter the toys around scout them around and get the distribution of it well friends uh mr kelly told me some very interesting things about toys i'm going right back to toys myself after a little talk from him but i wish you would just uh give our audience some of the your wonderful ideas on the function of toys well of course as you know they've uh existed in the culture of all people throughout the ages yes to develop that a bit and uh way back even to a prehistoric man they found remnants of uh early play things of course the the early toys are all the results of the parents imagination and the parents handiwork and today it's developed into quite a sizable industry there's one point mr kelly made for uh in our little discussion friends and that was uh the uh the part that toys should play and the part that educational general toys and educational toys i wish you would explain that well actually uh i would say it's most important that uh as we realize that each child has his own rate of development by both physically and uh and mentally so the first consideration a parent has to have is to fit the toy to the child and uh by that i mean there's only the parent that actually knows his own child that intimately to properly uh select the toys involved and then of course uh toys unlike most adult purchases can't be postponed i mean if you need a new uh sofa for your living room or a new rug and you can put it off for a couple of years or you can't afford it but when your child needs a velocipede or a wagon you either buy it when it needs it then it's suiting to it or you don't buy it at all so when you talk about the the educational aspects of it i from what i've seen in the papers and magazines through recent years of entirely too much stress placed on purely the educational value of toys i mean as i see it the primary function of a toy is to entertain because if it doesn't entertain it'll never educate you see everything a child handles or comes in contact with everything he experiences is in education but unless you get the interest of the child and hold it with the good solid play value in the toy you'll never get them to take it just for educational value no they must like it first that's right yeah well like if i force you out to play golf i mean you either like it or you don't if i force you it's not fun anymore well you wouldn't have to force me but i can't get time i'd love to play but it's been a long time since my last play but i uh i must admit that this is the first time i saw the difference until you tell me the difference between the normal toy and the educational toy the educational toy has a part to play but it shouldn't be foisted on children unless they want it that's right i mean it's got to be suited to the child and uh there's many uh many a novelty toy for example that uh uh people you say uh universally condemn because there's no participation of the child in it but the the novelty toils toys there's many of them that uh give more enjoyment to the parents than they do to the children yeah yeah and uh anything that gives enjoyment like that uh it's impossible to put a price tag on the uh smile of an adult or a child it's a good athlete too that's right i mean it's just strictly for their for their entertainment and their fun well oftentimes we don't think that the uh that the lord wants us to have a little legitimate fun joy in a normal wholesome way in this life as a little preparation for the life to come that's right and i think that the toys uh perform that uh service too now any final uh word that you would have as a suggestion well i would say that the it's most important for the uh parents to remember that the toys are never substitute for themselves that's true but uh too many parents uh think of they go out and spend a lot of money on toys that have done their duty as far as entertaining and uh educating their child in the home excellent excellent yeah so i think it's most important that the parents participate with their children i mean there's many games that the parents would enjoy as many as well as the children would and especially now with the many suburban homes there's all sorts of outdoor activities but everybody can join in there's some wonderful uh books written for children but the parents should take and read and many of those books are very simply written on uh quite intricate subjects i mean subject that the average parent thinks he knows but uh he may have known it 30 or 40 years ago and he actually should read it in the very simple form the child has to read it in now to refresh himself on it so i think the uh the parents should definitely participate with the child well you're a good christopher in the toilet god bless you and keep you for many years thank you now mr kelly we're going to have the privilege of a little musical number by the great pianist miss pauline carter [Music] so [Music] thank you pauline carter friends on this uh christopher program we have as our guest a teenager susan martin who uh if you followed any of our christopher programs of the past you may have heard her reading from the holy scripture for us occasionally and susan has uh some very fine ideas of her own uh but i'll leave it to her to tell you about there's a career you're thinking of susan i'm thinking of going into teaching i'm going to college now to learn and well the main reason that i've wanted to do choose this field not only because there is such a great call for it but because um this may sound funny i don't know uh i've always felt that there's so much that i could do as a person to help to help children form themselves i know the influence that teachers have had on me are so great i could run down a whole list of them of what they've given to me as a person well that's very nice to speak so well of them i would really love to have that type of influence on someone else well teaching is a is the field where you can i mean just think every year 25 30 40 of young minds and hearts and souls you're molding and well it's a hard preparation it's a hard life but a very satisfying one it is when you feel that you've done something to not only contribute to a few children but perhaps to the betterment of the nation oh these these phrases sound so big and meaningless but really it's true i don't know you feel that that you've given so much you don't feel that you've just uh come and you've lived and you've died and so what but susan i'd i'd like to ask you you're much nearer the teenage stage than i am but uh what would you say uh there's been you know about a certain amount of complaint i don't think much of it is justified but and we're not concerned about the complaints about teenagers as much as we are in getting them to spread their wings and bring out the great idealism that's in them the whole thing i think with the teenager is that they have a tendency to just after they've graduated from grammar school or even high school they want to stay in the little rut in which they were born and they they i don't even know if it's they want to but they do they their ideals are are extended to the corner uh grocery store or candy store and that's just where it ends and they they just think of making a living uh whereas so so few at least as i was saying uh in college we get quite a few figures on how many children teenagers do go on to higher education and you'd be surprised at how few actually go past the grammar school level and you know of course that limits you you to what you can do not only for your own personal gain or betterment but for the betterment of your community as well and your children now you are speaking with a voice of experience from your you know you're among teenagers now and and we have tried in our way and i just want to check with you to see if you think this is correct we say that down when you're 12 13 14 you want to try to pick a career with a purpose some great goal in life where you're going to do something for the love of god and love of others if you start preparing for that even if you change later you're preparing for something uh is that practical okay so true oh yes father when when you've got something in mind it doesn't even even if you want to be the president of the united states you know how some children say that when people are doing something or they're reaching for something they develop so much more than if they just accept what they've got and take what what comes you know if they reach out for things uh that's why i'm reaching for teaching i don't know what'll happen what if i become a teacher but well i think you're very wise and i think many teenagers and parents and teachers and everybody else could uh could get a good reminder from what you're saying that if you if you're hit for a goal i suppose you decide now to be a writer or something you're going to develop qualities within you now is there one final suggestion you would have for teenagers teenagers as students can do so much uh well take a notice of the hungarian revolt that was a student's revolt as you know and the world response was due mainly to students uh if if students sort of unite not as a body to destroy or you know or feel their oats or anything but to really push the young younger generation ahead i know that so many kids of my age have a tendency to ridicule things that we take for granted but that impress the younger children so much like school you know you make fun of school oh it's nothing and then they they take it in and they they react in this way they they uh really look up to teenagers so much and if if they just realize the power that they had for good well thank you very much susan martin god has given every young person every person but the young have such great hope he's given them a power for good as susan martin just said and if they would just develop that and use it for the greater glory of god and the good of souls all over they bring out so much in themselves now susan we're going to have a reading from the holy bible now by j carol nash just before mr nash reads and i would recommend the teenagers take uh do a little reading just even a few verses out of the holy bible every day and use it as a means of meditation and developing those great inner values that are so much needed for any kind of work they go into well god bless you and now we will sit back and listen to j carol nash they know god to rescue me oh lord make haste to help me let them be put to shame and confounded who seek my life and let them be turned back in disgrace who desire my ruin let them retire in their shame and say to me uh-huh but may all who seek you exalt and be glad in you may those who love your salvation say ever god be glorified but i am afflicted and poor oh god hastened to heaven you are my help and my deliverer oh lord hold not back thank you jay carol nash and all of us can repeat that prayer that you just offered uh oh lord make haste to help me remember that the lord is always waiting but he wants us to turn to him like a child does to his father or mother we must do something in our part the lord will never be outdone in generosity but we should turn to him especially in our needs in christopher work we constantly say that we can be partners with god we can be instruments of his love and truth well don't try to depend upon yourself because really of ourselves we are nothing depend upon god do everything through him and you will begin your heaven on earth now let us have a visit with our next christopher guest friends uh this is mr james defoe he's a copywriter at the geyer advertising agency here in new york now uh we expect you to tell us what your what work you do well i uh write uh tv commercials for disneyland father on nash hudson and brambler automobiles how did you happen to get into this type of work well i was uh always interested in writing and i felt that there was a tremendous opportunity in advertising well they do a very good job but it nevertheless it means a great deal of responsibility it does father yes and it takes a great deal of time too uh actually uh it's one of the problems i think with many businessmen today they feel they don't have time and they certainly have good intentions i know with myself for instance about two years ago i was looking around for some uh particular work that might that i might do and would be particularly fitted for and i heard an appeal on the radio uh for the cleveland better business bureau they wanted a writer so i went over there and i decided i'd do that for a few weeks i thought it was just going to be too onerous a job and actually i found out that it was wonderful job i had an awful lot of fun it didn't take up too much time because i think so many times people forget that uh you can reduce any job to a routine a couple hours a week after you get on to writing a show is fine well it offers tremendous possibilities doesn't it i mean you you can uh affect the thought of millions for good can't you that's right father actually i understand i was reading in a magazine that people spend more time watching television they do working well you're a good advertising representative uh tell me mr default uh the businessman in his job he has great responsibilities but what about his responsibilities outside number one the home where can you make any suggestions on that because there's a tendency to uh to get so absorbed in business the home becomes incidental and that should always be primary that's true a good friend of mine who is a copy chief and who is has a very uh difficult job and one that puts quite heavy demands on his time uh makes a rule to spend at least one day a week no matter how important the jobs he's working on it's at least one day a week with his family in other words the whole day he'll go away with them on a sunday or something like that and uh he that's sometimes very hard to do it may not think so but that's right it can be difficult you you're pressed and you uh you have to put first things first yeah as long as you don't get officers well another another thing about about the businessman taking an interest in uh in affairs or you've got any suggestions without interfering with his his home his business but nevertheless he has obligations to community affairs to national affairs and so that's right father uh something like the the big brother movement another friend of mine um a young fellow got interested in that and he talks about it all the time explain what that is if you will well that's a movement whereby people try to help um uh young boys uh who are having troubles or who have perhaps uh at the very best uh environment and uh they will take it upon themselves to uh go in and try to help out that environment it's really uh social work and it's a very very high level too they would take a particular case that's right and do what they can take boy time we're taking the baseball games when his friend sir that's a very holy word that's doing what the lord would do taking an interest in those who have trouble that's right now what about government what can the young businessman do well for one thing he can uh try to take part in the local government so many of us live in in small communities and there are problems that come up and we just don't have time for him but uh it really does pay off if you uh you can keep your your finger in and uh try to uh participate well you're a very good representative guy or agency i tell them you're right on the job thank you and god bless you thank you and now friends we're going to be favored by the great harpist jean bianco [Music] so [Music] so [Music] so [Music] thank you very much friends our pro time is just about up and now just before the close may i bring you the christopher thought for the week a novelist was asked to speak to a group of undergraduates at a large eastern university all those present had literary ambitions the author began by saying how many of you would really want to be writers every single student raised his hand in that case said the novelist there's no point wasting your time here go home and start writing well this seemed a little brusque but there is a point to what he said if you want to do anything you have to start doing it if you want to be a cook get in the kitchen if you want to swim get in the water and if you want to do something for the love of god and man you have to make the first move god will help you the rest of the way friends it has been a privilege and joy to have this visit with you don't forget for one moment how important you are in god's sight that he has assigned a mission in life for you to perform that he has given to no one else in short there is no substitute for you you can start right now to be a christopher or christ bearer do whatever you can to improve the great spheres of influence fields such as government education literature entertainment and labor relations don't spend valuable time complaining and criticizing or finding fall remember the christopher motto better to light one candle than to curse the darkness be a candlelighter not a blower outer in the christopher movement friends we have no memberships no meetings no dues our christopher news notes i have a copy here being sent to more than a million individuals each month free of charge you too may have them without any cost by simply sending a postcard to the christopher's new york 17 new york in conclusion they offer for you this simple prayer i vow and consecrate to god all that is in me my memory and my actions to god the father my understanding and my words to god the son my will and my thoughts to god the holy spirit my heart and my body my tongue my senses and all my sorrows to the sacred humanity of jesus christ who is contended to be betrayed into the hands of wicked men and to suffer the torment of the cross friends next week at the same time and on the same station we will bring you another christopher program thank you and god bless you and if everyone lit just one little candle what a bright world this would be father keller's so kind and gentle and all that um he loves a celebrity though oh boy so um in the other films i have he has uh quite a few celebrities jack benny bob hope um bing crosby um who else and in others just a whole bunch um and i think that was his deal is that he was hobnobbing with the um celebrities in the rich catholics to help fund the christopher's and their mission uh so speaking of celebrities this next film is by family films and family films uh was basically i think they used basically hollywood sets or tv sets and um would do their productions and they made a lot of stuff for distribution to churches but they also made stuff for distribution tvs tv stations just like the christopher's excuse me i'm sorry and um so this next film is a melodrama about uh missionary work and again has that the the threat of foreign uh government uh in the mission of christianity uh and also features one of my favorite character actors james hong uh james hong uh was in big trouble in little china one of my favorite roles he was in he was at seinfeld he's 93 and he's still acting i just saw him in an advanced screening of a film called everything everywhere and all at the same time which is a martial arts film feature basically featuring middle-aged people and he's in it plays a dad um so anyways he's i love him and he shows up in this film so this is uh this is the life faithful until death unto death um enjoy this is the life so [Music] what good evening chief a thousand pardons reverend oh not at all would you commit our reverend friend is most kind i uh deplore the necessity for this intrusion perfectly all right oh ruth you remember fung cho our chief of police of course it's nice to see you again you are most gracious mrs gerhard you will forgive this unexpected visit of course if you'll excuse me perhaps the lady will remain the business is somewhat official won't you sit down don't you well i uh i hope this is nothing serious as far as your mission is concerned no but we would be grateful to learn the answers to a few questions about one who sometimes works here the young man known as you and ty young time well yes of course dawn tai is a fear a thief oh i can't believe that he's been with us ever since the mission was started in fact he was one of our very first converts why do you suspect young he was identified as one of the men who last night assaulted and robbed a merchant well young could never do such a thing there must be some mistake when did you last see him yesterday afternoon he helped me unpack a new shipment of medical supplies would it be uh unreasonable to assume that he might be hiding here without your knowledge of course well that's ridiculous he'd have no reason to hide look if it will ease your mind why don't you look around we have nothing here to conceal that would be unpardonable who could doubt the word of our reverend friend thank you and again my humblest apologies for this intrusion good night mrs gerhart good night chief yonder's due here tomorrow morning when he learns that you wish to question him i'm sure he'll check with you we shall see good night reverend good night i don't understand jana's never been in trouble i'm certain there's some mistakes stefan he what are you doing here there was no other place i must beg forgiveness forgiveness for what for hiding here from enemies he seeks my arrest i have been here several hours waiting for the darkness i'm distressed to have made you a party of my deception but why why young i can't believe you had anything to do with this robbery fung lies the robbery is a subterfuge well sit down john and tell us about it there's no time some things cannot be towed even to friends if you're in trouble you know we're here to help you i'm grateful but there's nothing you can do i must leave on a journey for a few days running away won't solve anything if you have a problem stay and face it the problem would never be solved if i found a fung joe's trap i must leave now it is a long journey you sure there's nothing we can do food money you are very kind but my needs are small goodbye mrs gearhart please always remember pastor the last thing i wish is to bring this grace onto the mission when i return perhaps i can explain everything john are you sure you're doing the right thing leaving like this i believe it is right please try and believe in me you've always been honest with me i do believe you please no thank you for everything i don't like it ruth i've never seen him like this before perhaps we expected too much of him perhaps but i just can't believe that he's forgotten everything he learned from us since he came here i think he's being truthful about the robbery how ruth it's something deeper than that now for the english language edition of the news we'll have the major league scores in the latest reports from stateside in a few minutes but first and highlighting the news of the far east is a bulletin just received from hanoi communist troops are reported advancing from the north in a rapid encircling movement which threatens to cut off defending forces several towns have been evacuated in the face of crumbling resistance reinforcements are being rushed from the south but progress is slow due to roads congested by fleeing refugees grave concern was felt in washington and london over this latest threat to peace in southeast asia and now for the baseball scores this could mean the end of all our work here are we to be like poor young remember what you told him only a little while ago running away isn't going to help [Music] perfectly all right no trouble at all won't you come in [Music] i'm joel you are packing the leave perhaps no unpacking it's a new shipment of supplies my reverend friend puzzles me last night he assured me that you and tide had not been in a mission all day but now come report from witnesses who saw you and leave here only minutes after i did by a secret door well there's no secret about it who am i to believe my reverend friend are the witnesses your witnesses spoke the truth but so did i i didn't know you one was here until after you'd left how could he have been in the building without your knowledge he said he was hiding we urged him to stay and straighten out his trouble but he insisted on leaving we have the police seemed fated to meet with unhappy surprises but this is the unhappiness of all i expected here of all places to find the truth it is the truth i'll vouch for everything my husband has said i am a lenient and trusting man an unfortunate weakness for one of my profession let us hope to invade us from the north will be equally so have you heard something is there any hope of saving the city can one stop the rain the resistance has melted away what can my poor handful of men do against a powerful people's army you will be leaving of course with the rest of the foreigners no we've decided to stay it could be a foolish decision that remains to be seen we feel we should stay as long as we're needed it is unfortunate we could not have your cooperation regarding the fugitive you and ty [Music] it's getting late i thought i'd lock up i'll take care of it i'm nearly through him you know ruth this will be our first sunday without young to help autumn chapel he should have been back by now if he's coming back i'm sure he will if he's able [Music] [Applause] well it's come have you changed your mind my dear there's still time stefan i know it's only because of me that you'd even think of leaving but i'm only one and you came here an answer to a call to serve many i better get a lamp don't tell me when the power will be on again [Music] a lot of soul out there i just can't understand it perhaps they weren't permitted to come to church or else they're afraid to leave their homes i remember ruth when i used to worry about our chapel being too small this morning it seemed too large anyway stefan it was a fine sermon shall i stay perhaps it would be best this is the one of whom i spoke major allow me to present reverend gerhart revan this is major huang how do you do major won't you come in please ruth i'd like to introduce major huang this is my wife how do you do a rare pleasure indeed won't you sit down thank you we are thought to find you in your place of worship is this not the day for such events we were there my people did not come we can only assume that they were frightened by the presence of so many soldiers in the city it was purely military precaution we must be certain that no misguided subversive elements remain i see there are some then there are always a few at first until they are liquidated we must enforce a strict curfew no one is permitted on the streets but i must not waste your time on these matters we come to beg your cooperation well in what way major comrade fung here has mentioned something about your medical supplies comrade fung is a very observant person i could not remain silent when i heard that some of our brave liberators had been wounded and were in need of medical care ours was such a rapid advance that our own supplies have not caught up with us yet naturally we will share with you everything here has been sent to relieve suffering i imagine that includes liberators that is a word i have never heard you use before feng shui what better name for those who free my people from slavery even the slavery of superstition the fung joe wastes time what of the medical supplies of course major will our reverend friend show the way our reverend friend should be pleased his supplies will save many lives as i said that's what they're here for of course you you will leave some for my people we commandeer everything in the name of the people's republic that is all people but many of them are depending on me for aid one of them benevolent government will see to all their needs all are you sure major they weren't permitted to attend church this morning my deepest apologies if i had known i would have delayed my arrival for another day major tell me what what's to happen to us are we going to be permitted to carry on our work here it is not for me to decide i am a military man the civil authorities will decide but i must remind there will be no gatherings of any kind the curfew is very strict no one is permitted on the streets no one [Music] [Music] ruth come quickly please [Music] you oh you're hurt you and we've been so worried about you the wound is not serious perhaps the windows are great at danger were you followed here no one saw me in darkness you shouldn't have risked it with a curfew he must leave tonight before more soldiers come tonight no that's impossible you if you stay it would mean prison or worse oh sure you don't think that would happen i heard it with my own ears in a small town to the north the communists closed the church but on sunday the pastor held services the soldiers came showed the people away shot some of them they took the pastor and his wife to to prison i speak the truth that's why i came back there are many soldiers on the road but there's a way by water by water i came up the river in a small boat we can get to it through the fields in a few hours we can be in the gulf our friends are waiting in a fishing sample in the morning we can be far to the south in free country you and how did you get involved in all this my friends and i have worked a long time against invaders you're a member of the resistance movement funk joe is a spy for the communist he tried to arrest me for a robbery that never took place that's why i hid in the mission that night yet you came back here risked your life if fungi finds you here it could be fatal that's why it's important we leave quickly now you won't we've decided to stay we feel we're needed here but the pastor to the north was needed now he can help no one but in the south there's much work to be done also perhaps you should go i'll stay out of sight yes [Music] it might be better if i handle this alone whatever you think best evan [Music] [Music] sorry to inconvenience you well it is rather late [Music] time for pretending is over now we seek the enemy of the people's republic what makes you think your suspect is here i repeat time for pretending is over we have proof you were engaged in espionage you can't be serious this is a house of mercy i am a minister the reverend minister has fooled us for a long time but no more we know the mission is used for secret meetings and a hiding place for traders that's ridiculous we have been informed that spies such as yong tai frequently hide here do you deny this perhaps the illustrious major could find the answer quickly fung jo has many times heard christian teachings makes virtue of truth perhaps now is the time to test this posting perhaps fong joe is right a simple question to which our christian friend will surely give a truthful answer is the traitor jung tai hiding here now the truth hesitates no matter we thought only to be fair before we search the premises all right i will not deny that yantai was here this evening but i hope by now that he's gotten away if you wish to search the house go ahead there's nothing i can do to stop you joey so i came back only to urge the pastor to leave he is innocent the mission has not been used for secret meetings your entire lives we have long known of your treachery he has used a foreigner's religion to plot against his people that is not true john is a christian that is not true jan is a christian he is trying to live his only god would have men live tongue perhaps we misjudged this unfortunate person perhaps in his weakness he has been corrupted by these foreign teachings is this not true young thai i have been taught the word of god but you may lower your arms and uh you believe this word of god i suppose such foolish things as forgiving your enemies and loving those who think differently you believe this rubbish i believe and i hope someday all my people will i pray that they will know of the loving god who gave his only son to die for the sins of all men even yours and from joe's is this what the reverend foreigner crossed the sea to teach insidious lies which pervert our people to do the bidding of the war mongers we ask them only to do the bidding of their savior to live together in peace and brotherly love we are not deceived by this lying propaganda yongtai has been a fool yet perhaps it is not too late to save yourself reject the foreigners lies and work with your comrades toward that inevitable day when they shall rule the world there is but one ruler of the world now and all times you waste your time with him comrade he has been poisoned by these foreign teachings the choice is yours young thai if this god of yours exists ask him now to spare your life or renounce him and ask the mercy of our glory estate if it is god's will that i die i'm not afraid why should i fear the meter friend jesus is my greatest friend how could he be otherwise when he gave his life for me when he died that i might become clean of sin and worthy to enter into the heavenly kingdom of his father if he died for me should i not die for him too rather than depart from him like the reverend one must be proud of his teachings they are taking a man's life perhaps they are saving a man so i would urge the reverend one not to lose this soon it may be needed to save another soul [Music] oh goodness [Music] i'll never forget the triumph in his voice
