[Music] oh watch it squirt here comes an easy one ah i missed again well go get it no way i'm sick of running after the ball i'm no good at baseball and i'm quitting you want to play football sure i love football cause i get to tackle you when you think of how you're growing it should come as no surprise the more we learn about ourselves the more we [Music] realize [Music] there's lots of folks who'll help us grow we'll help ourselves because we know if we're happy and healthy too our bodies will do what we want them to it helps to be healthy we're [Music] we all enjoy playing maybe we can't always agree and what to play but it's great to give your muscles a workout just for the fun of it climbing stretching cartwheels and somersaults slipping and gliding it doesn't matter how good you are what does matter is how good a time you have if it makes your muscles work it's exercise and exercise is very important in keeping your body tip top so hold on tight because here we go [Music] boy what a workout that was fun oh all that running made me thirsty me too hey what's the matter do you feel it what is it it's my heart it always goes like that after i run feel yours mine's the same how come exercising your muscles gives your heart a great workout actually your heart is always working whatever you're doing asleep or awake but until it starts beating harder most of the time you don't even notice it now that we're thinking about it though let's visit an expert who'll give us a closer look at how the whole system works hello there i'm dr jonas and i have this marvelous body to show you no i don't mean my body i mean the magnificent body model i hope it won't bind the interruption they're always so darn busy in there no time for coffee break we got a job to do standing on my vessel all together now push uh i know you're busy but quieting down i want to talk about the heart and lungs it's not fair when will it be my turn stomach we'll talk about you another time excuse you here almost in the middle of the chest is the heart it has the very important job of pumping blood all around your body all the time hey doc i've got a riddle for them well i hope it's to the point sure is ready what is it that beats all by itself about 70 times a minute is the size of your fist and wait for it is the strongest muscle in your whole body they'll never get it huh did you say the heart you're right they're too smart yes well the blood that the heart pumps around for you carries food and oxygen to every single part of your body on this drawing the red lines called arteries show how the blood gets pumped to every tiny cell it drops the oxygen off there and then comes back to the heart along these blue lines called veins then the heart pumps the blood out to the lungs where the blood picks up more oxygen again [Music] listen i want you to do something for me i want you to exercise as much as you can you know why because your exercise helps me to stay strong so i can work harder it's not just you it's us other muscles too yeah we all get bigger and stronger sure whenever the kid who owns us does some exercise if i get your meaning i think you'd like me to say that the kid who owns you has uh responsibility to you right on tell it like it is doc we're as helpless as their pets if they don't feed us and exercise us properly it's game over well that's rather a dramatic way of putting it but you're quite right you must eat the right foods for your body it's the only one you've got it's our turn now we want to be on tv too yes yes i'm coming to you these are the lungs and they work very closely with your heart their job is to give you the air you need they work a little bit like balloons the blood that the heart sends us flows over us and picks up air with oxygen in it and drops off the old air that has carbon dioxide also we know just how much air to breathe in that means more for when you're running and less for when you're sitting we like it when we have to breathe more for you so keep exercising yeah good work lungs i wanna tell my story when's it my turn oh rowdy time i think it's time to shut up i mean close up the magnificent body model i'm glad to know my heart likes to beat like that when i exercise and the pulling feeling i've got in my legs right now is that natural sure it's your leg muscles you're giving them a workout by biking i can feel mine too cause we're [Music] exercising [Music] [Applause] [Music] exercise [Music] [Music] exercises [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] with your friends or by yourself [Music] with your friends [Music] exercises [Music] oh i love riding it's great when something you like also keeps you in shape yeah it makes you wonder why people let themselves get out of [Applause] shape these days it's so easy to ride yourself out of shape we use cars so much you sometimes think we forget how to walk but we get flabby in no time if we let machines do all our work astronauts who ride in rocket ships know this better than anyone so they make sure they keep in shape even out in space now this is really exercising oh down here on earth it's just as easy to get out of shape a lot of us like to watch tv but when we do we just sit there and don't move so get moving you try this too come on reach reach that's it yeah roll pull right stretch those muscles uh i always feel so sleepy when i've been sitting doing nothing and watching tv me too but if we try some of those exercises while we're watching we keep our muscles moving and we won't get to feel so tired right then we can stay up all night and watch the late late shows now hold it a minute guys you're forgetting something it's our doctor hi dr jonas hi there spinner squirt what did we forget dr jonas we need to know because we're learning to keep fit well you've learned that your body likes to exercise yeah i love riding my bike and you know that you need to relax too i like to make necklaces and count my rock collection is that relaxing certainly whatever you like to do quietly is relaxing you kids use up a lot of energy in a day but you forgot one thing you need to do uh i need to eat i need to pee yes but you also need to sleep i don't like going to bed but your body does oh so do i i like sleeping what's so great about sleep [Music] when night time comes we get ready to sleep our bodies looking forward to a rest it gives our hearts and our lungs and even our minds time to relax people or animals it makes no difference good night wake up squirt come on let's go and get something to eat i'm starving and ready to take off okay three two one blast off [Music] [Music] [Music] you have to turn up the microphone sorry i'm skip alzheimer watching the av geeks lunchtime streaming show still reeling from the holiday special which i'll talk more about later but uh essentially um what am i trying to say that last thing was a kinescope some of the footage the puppet footage was shot on video the titles were done on video a lot of the inserts and special effects were done on video like screen screens but some of it was shot on film so what they did is they shot 16 of some of the outdoor shots and some of the other footage then they shot the video and then they edited it all together into a video then because of the distribution uh channels at the time a lot of schools didn't have uh videotape yet so they bounced it back to film um using a process called the kinescope where you basically have a high resolution monitor i really high resolution at the time and you have camera aimed at it a film camera and um so it's recording um to 16 uh and then you you know you marry the soundtrack and all that stuff and so the irony is so you have footage that was shot on film that was transferred to video then it was transferred back to film and then i'm transferring it to video so it's this um severe over processing uh but yeah some people notice that uh so kudos to you guys um anyways uh so we watch old 60 millimeter films and this is one that we watched live via the telus city um thank you to some of you most of you or some of you who joined us for the holiday special which was fraught with copyright violations on youtube and also horrible uh technology issues of which i'm still trying to figure out what went wrong and part of it was a keyboard that just began to really flake out um where it i think the the space key just kept turning on and off which is why at the end of the special you couldn't hear anything that i was saying because it was breaking up um anyways that's what we do here is we embrace more than 100 years of technology um to bring you horrible puppets and songs about um fitness um yeah all right speaking of uh puppets i guess i'm trying to uh deal with the trauma that people felt after watching santa claus punch in judy which is an amazing film if only that because it documents what a punch and judy show looks like and what an american variation on it was i will tell you that i edited it and because there was some particularly racist film racist material in it uh featuring some puppets that were um boxing if you want to see the full version go to youtube or go to uh archive.org you'll see that i put the full version up there anyways i didn't want to have to deal with that so this next film is called me and it is a touchy feely film and it also features puppets although these are marionettes [Music] enjoy [Music] [Music] um [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Applause] come on toss the ball is anybody under there huh can i play man you're too small to play football you come up to about my knee how do you still play football come back in about 10 years maybe you'll be halfway decent size now let me have the ball [Music] god [Music] down what are you supposed to be you're going to sleep yeah now it's early who cares you're going to bed like that what's it tell you nothing i don't care aren't you going to be hot how can you sleep in all that junk oh you go away okay okay oh john i never did are you going to bed now yeah like that daddy okay okay i was just asking what is the matter with john no he's tired i guess they wouldn't let him play again today but those kids are a lot older oh he's me i can stand here can't i no did you see what he's got on the clothes no what go look did you get to play today no too bad listen paul don't you have some homework okay john don't you start too can i ask you a question no would you like to hear a story mama i don't want to be me anymore i see mama i ate my hammer your image where on earth did you ever hear mama don't laugh sorry i heard it on the television oh i see and who would you like to be i don't care anybody but me nobody likes me the way i am well i certainly do no you don't john wouldn't you be more comfortable mama all right what kind of a story would you like a fairy tale all right which one i don't care now close your eyes johnny once upon a time when geese were swine and turkeys jawed tabaki way way off in the land of where am i now there was a fine little boy named me now me was usually a very happy little boy but one day he found that he was very very sad for the fact was that me no longer wanted to be himself anymore i am a monster said me and i don't like me anymore you're not a monster we are monsters said the monsters other people get to do all kinds of fun things because they're just better people than me if it's because i'm me that i suffer then i just won't be me anymore i'll be someone else what a simple solution and the monsters agreed it was indeed simple but what who shall i be if not me thought me so me set out on a walk into the kingdom of where am i now and as he walked he looked and thought of the various possibilities of people he might change himself into [Music] [Laughter] [Music] no no oh certainly not ah finally he arrived at a possibility that appealed to him the cowboy hero he had seen 112 times on television oh what a marvelous role to play rescuing maidens and riding off into terrific sunsets but he thought also of an indian hero he liked equally well and who seemed quite as splendid which shall i be thought me i will be both said me but how i'm not broad and tall like the cowboy nor long and lean like the indian well if i can't be them at least i can be like them and so saying me took a piece of the cowboy and a piece of the indian and attached them to himself wow thought me better already i'm becoming a better me than i was and now he had what he thought he needed a formula for self-improvement he would go on taking pieces of the people he wanted to be and by so doing he would become the most admired and respected boy of all time i must be more much more thought me [Music] so next he thought of jacob his classmate at school jacob was an athlete and very good in his studies and very popular with the other children if i could take something of jacob for myself but what well jacob has dark skin well that's easy i'll just die part of my skin and that's what me did wow and double wow i'm becoming more and more splendid little man you are nowhere said jacob and turned his back he's just jealous thought me but he did wonder why his own voice seemed to be growing a little faint and next he thought he might like to be a warrior and defender of nations and at the same time a lover of peace which after all is much better than war no problem bought me to himself marvelous groovy fantastic neato said me i'm almost complete what an image i have i'm becoming everything he did not notice that his voice was growing weaker still a few more pieces of a few more people though he already drooped a little from the weight of his disguises there thought me at last that does it now i am ready oh wait till they see me his voice was but a whisper now as he turned to meet the final test i will achieve my goal i will be the greatest me in history and everyone will know it his voice however could scarcely be heard do you know why do you know why hey kid you in there huh [Applause] what's up oh my do you see he is gone he is not there there is nothing left of me all that remains are the pieces of others poor me attached to himself poor me i thought you were okay as you were but now you are gone no more me goodbye goodbye me mama john i'm here it's all right am i still here of course you are you fell asleep while i was reading you had a bad dream where's my other eye your eye patch john get out of all this junk mama yes john do you like me like you and also love you mom yes i mean me john just like i am i mean you john just like you are they never played football nope maybe tomorrow i won't even go near those big kids maybe i'll just do a johnny thing daddy yeah do you like me like you and love you just the way you are paul two you pulled two we all knew you go to sleep now honey and this time you have a good dream mama yes joe maybe someday they will let me play maybe so and until then i'm just gonna be me chad good night good night sweet dreams wow um i've seen lots of films probably four or five thousand and that one is is up there as far as one of the ones that just melt my brain and i can tell in the comments that you all were equally um flummoxed by what you just saw that was really nuts um and i'm happy that you got to join me and watch it um at the very least visually it's nightmare fodder it is something that just sneaks right into your subconscious um i don't know if this helps kids at all i mean it really is so i see where they're going with it but man holy cow it's really crazy but it did have googly eyes so i'll give you that but i i think i need to show this film as a palette cleanser something to help us process uh the fear and the anxiety we just felt with that last film so here's don't be afraid [Music] [Music] [Applause] time for you to be asleep billy i'm not a bit sleepy you have to get up early tomorrow remember i don't want to go to bed yeah it's bedtime and sleep time now put these things down now get out under the covers and out with the lights my my mother's awake for ages after the lights are out oh don't worry you'll fall asleep right away you'll be asleep before you know it good night billy good night philly's mother didn't know the real reason why he didn't want to go to bed when he was left alone in the dark bedroom billy became frightened he didn't understand about fear that fear is a natural thing nothing to be ashamed of and that there's a way to go about getting over some fears so he had never told his mother about it [Music] [Applause] [Music] mother mother billy are you calling me mother what is it billy why aren't you in bed uh what's wrong billy is something that matters mother yes worry if i leave the lights on just for the night oh is that what's been bothering you i thought i saw someone in the room and i heard noises well noises always seem louder at night and then we often imagine all sorts of things that aren't true tell me billy are you often afraid like this lobster's nice well i'm sorry you didn't tell me about this before you should never be ashamed of telling me when you're afraid of something fear is nothing to be ashamed of everybody's a afraid of something or others very natural do you remember what happened a few weeks ago that sunday morning i was making bricks you and dad were waiting so you could get outside to work on the lawn do you remember how the bacon fat poured over the stove and caught fire i was terribly frightened your father was fighting too then he remembered an old trick about putting out grease fire then he quickly smothered the flame we were all frightened of the fire it was natural being afraid was nature's way of warning us that the fire was dangerous and might harm us that's what fear is a warning of danger sometimes we're afraid of big things and sometimes we're afraid of very little ones but you shouldn't be ashamed of being afraid of something dangerous no matter whether it's big or little being afraid is is nature's way of reminding us that we should do something to avoid the danger to avoid being harmed do you remember the time you threw the ball onto the ledge at school [Music] danny was angry at you for throwing the ball out of bounds and insisted that you get it down he dared you to climb up the wall on the drainpipe but it looked too dangerous to you and you were afraid of losing your grip and falling so you refused to climb up even if it was a dare and the janitor got the ball for you you see being afraid of climbing up the wall was your warning that it was very dangerous and that you might be hurt you showed good common sense when you paid attention to that warning and you don't have to be ashamed of it being afraid was nature's way of getting you to avoid something dangerous but now there's something else about fear that i don't think you quite understand billy what's that well sometimes when you become afraid there isn't anything that's really dangerous sometimes you think things are dangerous when they're not sometimes you and most other people grow afraid even when they know there's nothing dangerous can you think of anything like that billy i know kathy lewis used to be afraid of dogs even when they were friendly she was so scared she crossed the street when she saw one well that's a good example of exactly what i mean i found it out one day when i was playing with scrappy you know mr rogers dog he's friendly you wouldn't even hurt a flea i didn't know she was so fraidy cat i called her to come over but she wouldn't do it [Music] she wouldn't come back even when i told her the dog wouldn't hurt her she didn't have to be afraid of the dog it wouldn't have hurt her isn't that what you mean mom that's just what i mean and you remember how afraid keith hogan was about learning to swim that's right he was scared to go near the water yes keith was afraid of something that wouldn't hurt him too and there's another kind of being afraid when there's no real danger that's being afraid of what people might think especially your parents remember a few months ago and mrs campbell phoned me after dinner frank hadn't been seen since school they were waiting dinner for him and poor mrs campbell didn't know what to think well you know what happened they found frank down in the basement his report card had some bad grades on it and he was afraid of what his mother and father would think maybe even that they'd stop loving him of course he found out that he shouldn't have been afraid that his parents would go on loving him no matter what grades he made so you can see what i mean when i say there was no real danger there there are many things that people are afraid of when there's really no danger things like fear of being laughed at because their clothes are different or because their marks aren't as good as they might be they're afraid for all sorts of foolish reasons but suppose you are afraid of something like dogs or art or the dark what can you do about it well each time you're afraid try to understand whether there's really something to be afraid of if you're afraid when there's real danger you can learn ways of protecting yourself fear at the right time will make you careful fear and wise action such as dad took but such as you took when you wouldn't climb up that wall you can be proud not ashamed of but how can you tell when there's a real danger or not stop and think common sense will often help then to try to remember or find out whether other people are afraid of the same things you are for instance kathy could see that you were playing with the dog and that the dog didn't hurt you she could know from that that there was nothing to be afraid of that's right so what kathy needed to do was to try to understand why she was afraid of dogs maybe just getting to know some dogs would have helped her get over her fears that's what she did do mom her dad bought her a little puppy to play with [Music] it was the cutest little thing we all loved it especially kathy that was last summer the dog's big now kathy took good care of him he got to know dogs so well that she isn't a bit afraid of them anymore i guess that's what you mean by getting to know and understand the thing you're afraid of yes keith got over his fear of the water by taking swimming lessons with a teacher he trusted and believed in yeah he can swim pretty well now there's another thing you can do to help yourself get over a fear when there's no real danger and that's to talk about your fear with somebody like we're doing now that's right you could talk it over with your parents a friend your teacher your doctor someone you're fond of and trust if frank had only talked with his mother and father about his fear that they might stop loving him if his report card wasn't good it would have been better for them all of course his parents didn't realize he felt that way perhaps they expected too much of frank and it may sound funny but frank's grades were bad partly because of his fear of his parents he was afraid he couldn't make good talking it over certainly made a big difference in the campus it helped all of them understand each other better as they talked over his work and work habits and what they expected of him frank got over his fear of making poor grades and of not doing well enough to please his father and mother he's doing much better in school now isn't he yeah gee mom it does help a lot to talk things over billy would you like to talk about some of the things that you're afraid of like why you don't like the room doc well i'm lonesome and i'm afraid you and dad aren't downstairs that that may be on the way you have my word that will never go away without telling you and if never leave you alone either we or someone else will always be where you can call how about it ready for sleep now yeah i guess welcome all right darling good night [Music] what about the light billy tell you what mom leave the door open a little instead will you that's fair enough good night son do you think billy will feel as alone as he did before do you think he'll stay awake as long as he used to does knowing that others are afraid of real dangers make it easier for billy to stop worrying about his own fears and when he remembers that some people are afraid when there's no real danger does that make it easier for billy to understand some of his own fears billy refused to climb the drainpipe because it looked dangerous yet at the same time he had another fear he was afraid he might be called a coward by his friends he had to decide which was the real fear do you think he decided correctly and do you think that the story of frank's being afraid of what his parents might think help billy understand his own fears better did it help billy to talk over his fears with his mother what do you think [Applause] [Music] hopefully that was uh healing um from those first two films that we just watched of the puppets hopefully that was uh the narration the soothing mother voice the calming was something that helped you reconcile the uh what i had just had you endure um but uh thanks thanks so much for watching this um if you like what you saw or if you feel like you wanted to reward me for that torture i just put you through um you can certainly buy his coffee uh caffeine is my friend it is the drug of choice uh besides my blood pressure medication um that just keeps me going uh also you can hit like subscribe comment share click on the notifications all those different things that social media has you do to help validate my existence and make me feel good every night or i can sleep without the lights on uh you can also go to avgeeks.com and see other things that we've done and we've done a lot uh you can also see the uh holiday special broken up into two parts i don't even know if youtube will let you watch the first one they i'm still not 100 sure what brought down the the stream i got three copyright kind of flags but none of them said all right we're gonna cut you off uh so i really don't know it's really unfortunate but um it happens and it will continue to happen and it will probably get worse the further we go so i'll just keep doing it until um even showing the countdown leader rules trigger a copyright i'll just keep going uh maybe we'll just show film strips um anyhow uh this next film is uh rainbow land enjoy [Music] bright smile toothpaste rainbow lands most popular this is a beautiful busy country called rainbow land even though i wasn't born here i like this country very much i'm an old man now i've seen many things in places and met many people here's a special friend of mine yeah right in through that window there he is with his little sister sue my friend's name is philip but a lot of people call him phillip harmonica or just philharmonic for short because he's one of the best harmonica players around sue just can't wait to grow up and become anything she wants to be like brother phillip phillip already is what he always wanted to be the best harmonica player in the world but he has a big problem he's bored bright smile toothpaste rainbow lands philip is so bored that he's always complaining about the way other people behave one day he said who scribble all over walls should get chained to a wall for life just take a look at that trash for throwing one candy wrapper on a sidewalk i'd lock a guy up for 16 years forever even [Music] phil did complain a lot but people didn't really mind because he was the best harmonica player around [Music] [Applause] [Music] but there are also times when people do not want to feel sad stupid lousy jukebox phil said i hate this joint this must be the most boring dump with the most boring people in the most boring city in the world i bet rainbow land must be the most boring country in the whole wide world let me out of here let me out of here let me out of here let me out of here let me out of here philip kept hollering it was one of those beautiful warm peaceful summer nights we have in rainbow land when phil was through hollering he heard someone playing music his kind of music [Music] gee where'd you learn to play this kind of stuff ask my friend so the old man on the porch told him that he came from a country called blue land which was on the other side of big pond ocean in blue land everyone plays the blues all the time phil didn't need to hear any more he said that's the place for me oh boy is that the [Music] this is a place for me this is the place for me [Music] blue land is a small quiet country where nothing has changed for hundreds of years little boys grow up to be just like their fathers [Music] and little girls grow up to be just like their mothers change was never heard of you guys are terrific ah who died by the way whispered phillip instead of blue lander this funeral who's funeral it's a wedding a wedding [Music] said all the other blue landers and that the blues weren't the right kind of music for everything he said that wedding could have been much more fun they really blew it of course we blew everything around here said one blue lander pig to another my friend phil crossed those wonderful blue hills from one end of the country to the other some of the things he saw were just plain depressing phil tried to show the blue landers where just a little bit of shifting things around would improve their lives but change frightened and angered blue landers he was chased across the borders into neighboring pink land upon which the sun is now rising phil woke up on a stranger's porch he was cold his bones ached even felt a wee bit homesick why no no wonder they chased you out they don't like people who play like this over there said a pink lander ah yes pink landers are different from blue landers as a matter of fact phil has arrived just as the pink landers are preparing to unveil a new statue of their new leader their fourth new leader in less than a week ah your firecrackers hurt said philip in pain those are real bombs phil not firecrackers ready for your dogs oh my goodness i think they're serious it says the revolution take her down take her up get out of the way here they come again [Applause] [Music] [Applause] see the problem with a country like pink land is that one leader is never around long enough to finish anything so who is that guy that's bill he must be the new leader oh he's cute what's his name he looks like a schnoozel who said that i didn't say that who's that who was that i'm just saying not me my mother no my lips are sealed i didn't say a thing i'm getting under here see phil i really gave him a jolt i said that in a country where there are too many changes people can get scared of just plain words no one is certain what's allowed to be said today and what can't be said tomorrow well i'll be said phil climbing up on a chair in my country we make changes gradually and to pick a new leader we vote instead of fight it's a lot easier on the country and uh the i get you for this you miserable little blueberry i'll turn you into blueberry pie hey mr harmonica said a border guard standing near the wall come on over here into purple land you'll like our country we've had the same ruler for a long long time okay over there harmonica name oh i'm philip harmonica uh as my friends call me uh occupation well i was a blues musician back home but i'm not sure report to block five music hall number two uh yes sir i was getting a little low on caster uh what does it pay all workers are paid three grub nicks three grub nicks i've been playing a harmonica for years i should get at least twice that much i get three grub knicks she gets three grub knicks he gets three grub knicks you get three grub nicks purple land was an orderly place very orderly everyone was taken care of and everyone seemed to know where phil was going everyone followed rules that way they all knew that their country was a perfect place because no one made mistakes purplenecks use plans instead of clocks as the arm of this plan turns it points to what kind of music should be played at the moment the plan also showed when to stop playing and rest philharmonic had a hard time following the plan after all back home he could play whatever he wanted whenever he wanted philharmonic played so well that one person in the audience fell out of step with the plan he tuned into phil's playing and later made a public apology for his disturbances as for philip harmonica he was dismissed from that ban so fast he never found out what really happened except for the black eye which he woke up with in a place he never dreamt he would ever find himself i can't believe my eye what do they do that to you for i was caught scribbling on walls when i was a kid said the man in chains you serious what about him him he uh he threw his candy wrapper on the ground 15 years ago geez i guess you guys are serious the fourth person in the prison cell turned out to be a rainbow pilot who had been shot down over purple land hey listen buddy we're the only ones who aren't chained down yet and uh i got this escape plan see i figure if we go over there to the left when the moon comes up you turn off the lights and i'll scream you get that porcupine over there and then when he steps on that they'll jump in the air and scream sweet sue that'll distract the other guy see and so the pilot explains to bill how he's seen the way out many times from his plane right on the other side of the prison wall is a country called gray land from which they can safely get back home phil made it that night but the pilot now he wasn't as lucky in great land phil walked for days in search of someone who could help him get back across big pond ocean back to rainbow land the people of greyland were so poor most of them had nothing to eat they could certainly not help a stranger phil himself was getting thinner and grayer with each step he was so hungry now that when he finally came up to a boat he didn't know if it was for real or just his imagination the sailors barely recognized that phil was from rainbow land he explained what happened after they took him aboard promising that they'd let him off in his homeland if he would work in the engine room there couldn't be a happier harmonica player in the world the work was hard the hours seemed endless until finally the boat arrived at the shores of rainbow land [Applause] rainbow land was brighter and more colorful than phil ever remembered the pretty candy wrappers and crazy scribbly walls the rainbow stripes and stripes flying in the distance the sound of the city all this made phil very very happy he ran into the first telephone booth he saw and called me up yep i was there right yeah i saw your old blue land sure i'll get right over to your place as fast as i can yeah you guessed it now i sure am the old player on the porch who tried to tell my friend philharmonic that rainbow land is a pretty good place to live after all well i'm glad i had a chance to tell you this story ah yes here he comes now welcome home stranger [Music] uh some guy just told me that he'd pay me three crumblings if i moved to purple land see ya don't worry phil she'll be back [Music] yikes uh i had not seen that film before and i thought yeah what could be you know rainbow land happy colors bright i mean besides the fact the film had faded but yikes um and i'll just leave you with that how about that um i guess it ended with a happy i don't know anyways thanks so much guys for joining us today and us uh going on this journey uh that could potentially damage our psyche but together we will survive this um i apologize for those of you who who seek refuge in old 16 millimeter films uh and this seemed somewhat assaultive in in in not that traditional way not like you know gory footage or um violence or whatever uh but in just psychic damage and just reaching into your brain and just like so thanks for for joining us for that and uh if you felt like you needed to reward us in some way you can buy us coffee um like us on youtube go to avgeeks.com uh but also just tell people what we're doing and you can say that guy that guy skip he's he's a mean one um but uh we'll be back to uh tomorrow uh i will be pre-recorded uh because of a uh family thing but uh if you want to see me live i'll be back on wednesday um but we'll watch some films tomorrow uh you can certainly comment et cetera uh it'll be fun but everybody have a good rest of the day and be safe take care of yourself as always you know we look inside the film can for wisdom and advice and it tells us to please rewind love each other um and there is kind of a peace sign there i don't know if i showed this like there's actually a peace sign that somebody drew this is a board student who was working in the library who was basically probably waiting for a film to rewind on the inspection table and just decided to add some stuff to the can so it is something that i fall back on and truly enjoy so everybody take care of yourself um and we will see you tomorrow uh tomorrow wednesday all right bye you
