e e e e e e e all is is I hi everybody uh wait a minute something's got something's live there's some audio I hear it one second all right I'm skip Alzheimer welcome to the a Geeks lunchtime streaming show where I just took a shower my hair it it is what it is uh anyways we're inside today because it is gross outside um it's rainy and kind of damp and just uh anyways we watch old 16 mimer films here on the AV geekus lunchtime streaming show and uh that was some raw footage uh from pringer archives uh we're watching a lot of stuff in the prer archives today some old stuff that uh we have been recently uh red digitizing and putting up on YouTube Etc uh so this next film is is interesting so this is um uh back in the day I did a a DVD compilation for phantoma films it was called religion and so I did a lot of research on the different companies that made religious films and we' have certainly shown some of the the big ones like Concordia and family films and Cathedral films and um of course the Moody Institute of science uh this one is a is a company called Baptista films and it was started by Evangelical guy who used to kind he he had a group of people that would go like set up uh in Time Square or places where there were a lot of people and they would do these lect with like paper like big things of paper and they would draw things all related to gospel things and so this they started Baptista films and they actually sold projectors I think Amro projectors that they rebranded as Baptista projectors um and so they did a couple of films one's called Door to Heaven there's one called The Rapture I used to have those two films but they actually went super vinegar at some point but this is another one and this is animated but what strikes me about this is the diction of the narrator and how he enunciates like like there's a gun to his head I mean is insane how how he enunciates so here's gospel Dynamics enjoy [Music] [Music] [Music] what is the gospel I declare unto you the gospel by which also ye are saved how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures and that he was buried and that he rose again for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life [Music] we present you today in a new sort of way the greatest news of the hour this graphic display is to show you the way the gospel has Dynamite power now watch closely my friends till the whole story ends what's this align made the St my how nice it been now look there my friends it appears to be forming a heart this heart in God's sight is so fine clean and white that Adam's own heart it must be we read in the light of God's word pure and bright that Adam was sinless and free God gave him a place as the first of the race in a garden alone in his State what care was revealed when there in the field God gave him a wife for a mate in them was no shame for God in his name created them sinless in Grace but rebellions to blame they stayed not the same for they sinned and they ruined the race this Blackness you see is sin's misery staining our picture of white or Satan was Sly as he told his foul lie and he darkened God's wonderful light sin shall shed the soul till blacker than cold the hearts of the two came to be so they shamefully tried their bodies to hide making aprons from leaves of a tree we read in Genesis 3:7 and the eyes of them both were open and they knew that they were naked and they seed fig leaves together and made themselves Aon now Adam you know was sinful and so we commence with him in our story and we here below are sinners also we've sinned and come short of God's glory Our God in his love has from heaven above provided salvation Supreme like a fawn tended dog it clings in its love to cleanse us and also redeem it seems to appear in the heart we have here to be painted as dark as can be for the owner I fear there is Judgment severe God's justice will not set it free but whose is this heart that from God did depart let us watch close as we can ah aign made us St and it's encircling the heart and behold it's forming a man now to us it is clear why his life is so Greer for knowing that Blackness means sin we know that this lad here at Jesus does sneer for he is all Darkness Within bear sin's powerful curse and the cigarette even worse these things we cannot Overlook to us they may seem all right but not so in God's sight and see he holds a vile book well it is isn't so brave to be the devil's own slave to be beaten to shame and not win though his plight may be grave God's power can save it is mighty to rescue from sin come now let us try to now magnify this heart and watch God operate what can he apply to cause sin to Die the cold Stony heart penetrate well it happens one day as he continues his way this chap here's the gospel of grace he hears someone say that Christ is the way that heaven is truly a place he thinks knits his brow and his brain wonders how God a great pardon could part then as God did bow his grace functioned now and he drills a hole right in the heart God's word penetrates it then captivates its entrance is flooding with light the word operates and the boy meditates and struggles with sin Wicked might say look am I right is that Dynamite the power of God does appear in Romans 1:16 we read for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth but where is the cure is dynamite sure can this clean the sin of the Soul will it procure a new heart and assure this heart to be mended and whole look there goes the fuse there's no time to lose quick run and get out of the way it's grown now so small you can't see it at all watch out there the thing goes now friend what could mean uh this wild blasting scene the explosion that we have just heard what's happened between our God the Unseen and the boy he's accepted the word this isn't the new heart we sought from the start but God's word we mustn't mistrust he said he'd impart to the boy a new heart it may Sprout from this Granite [Music] dust God's power indeed has implanted the seed in the dust of the heart he redeemed it's the same Mighty word of the Gospel he's heard there the bright son of righteousness beams as the warm shining Rays on the cold Granite Blade the seed sprouts and how quickly it grows look a Lea comes to view and another one too and perhaps another who knows say the blossoms begun soon the work will be done in taking this fellow apart to know it is true that in Christ he is new for behold and observe his new [Music] heart like a beautiful tree he bears as we see these fruits all from heaven above his joy and his peace and his Faith all increased to climax in glorious love the greatest of Grace that we can Embrace Is This Love from Jesus alone he's prepared us a place up yonder in space to share in Great Joy round his throne the lad we've seen here displays love mixed with fear for he serves Christ and testifies this youth is sincere winning Souls every year and he who wins Souls is wise it is gain when he dies to be crowned with a prize that day when in glory above for the lord of the Skies he'll behold with his eyes and he'll Walk With Jesus his love at the cross at the cross where he first saw the light anded his sight and rejoices in glory for a yay forever and age he shall sing all the way for believing on Christ when a boy like a glimmering star in the heavens ofar his life will be endless in joy and they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament and they that turn many to righteousness as the Stars forever and [Music] ever wow I'm sure at the end of that his his his JS he was doing like this enunciating with his lips the gos well how did he say gospel it was weird gospel gos gospel I I can't remember so anyways I uh looked this up and I have a record that says it was from the Library of Congress it it's called gospel Dynamite which I don't think that's what I think this is It's supposed to be gospel Dynamics and it got listed wrong in the library Congress but anyways this film I think it was made in 1941 um so that's fascinating um so let's see uh let's all right let's watch this um Sid Davis our good friend Sid Davis uh made the film dangerous stranger and then remade it 30 times over a period of time with different titles and it all about the dangers of strangers and uh he also made some other films and some of his early ones I don't know he teamed up with some illustrator who didn't really know how to draw and I don't know if it's him like I don't have documentation that talks about this but there's a series of these films that were made for kids uh this is called the ABCs of walking wisely and they're great but the illustrations I'm like really you couldn't find anybody just a little bit better so here it is let's let's find out where we are in the alphabet um enjoy [Music] have you ever noticed that people walk in the streets like the alphabet they do you know and that goes for grown-ups and children alike I'm sure you know one of the alphabet Walkers the most common one the J Walker he crosses the street anywhere he likes in the middle of the block he just walks into the traffic the dictionary says that A J Walker is someone who crosses the street carelessly without obeying the traffic regulations so that he is endangered by the traffic and you know what a j is well besides being a bird it also means a silly person and that is just what the Jitter brain jaywalker is don't jwalk when you have to cross the street always use a marked crosswalk or go to a street corner best of all one with a traffic signal then wait until the light changes to green and carefully cross the street with the green light always watching for cars that may be turning into your street if you remember the rules and regulations of walking correctly in the street and if you obey them at all times you'll get an A in Walking [Music] wisely so don't be a J Walker be an a J [Music] Walker but the jwalker isn't the only kind of pedestrian who doesn't know how to walk in the street have you ever seen the G Walker he is always gawking at something G he says look at that and that and that GE goggle eyy the G Walker gazes at all sorts of things and he doesn't look where he's going too busy gawking at other things the only thing he isn't looking looking at is the traffic the only things he doesn't observe are the traffic rules always watch where you're going be alert and careful when you walk in the streets you don't want to be a goggle eyed G Walker be an a walker like Bill and Betty besides being a Walkers they're also SE Walkers see how they walk in a street that has no sidewalk they walk all all the way at the edge of the road in single file and on the left side against the traffic so that they can see the cars coming and the cars can see them Bill and Betty are real seaw walkers for they can see all the traffic all the time and get out of the way if they have to always remember to walk against the traffic if you have to walk on a road that has no sidewalk so that you can see the cars coming and there are lots of other alphabet Walkers floating about in the streets like letters in a bowl of alphabet soup or cereal this boy is an eye Walker he thinks that as long as he crosses the street at a street corner he need only think of himself here I come says the eyew Walker I am going to cross the street and he steps off the curb right in front of the traffic The eyew Walker is inconsiderate and he takes a big and dangerous risk but one day the car may not be able to stop in time always look carefully both to the left and to the right and to the left again even though you do cross the street at an intersection as you should show consideration for the drivers and be safe yourself don't ever behave like the ill-mannered eye walk Walker and The inconsiderate eyew Walker has a cousin the K Walker you remember the legend of King Arthur in his kns of the round table there was the Gallant sir Lancelot and the courteous and considerate sir Galahad but there was also a knight who was nothing but a boastful showoff sir K and that's just what the kalker is too a conceited Shure clown the street is no place for the carnival Capers of the kwalker if you want to do tricks or play games there are lots of places where it's much more fun to do [Music] them sometimes the kwalker jumps about like a kangaroo throwing caution to the winds trying to show off it's only luck that he doesn't get hurt and that's why smart boys and girls girls don't clown in the street and behave like the Shure K Walker or like the open-mouthed old Walker the old Walker hasn't learned how to obey the rules for walking wisely and correctly in the streets and sometimes he'll act like a real o one of the worst things anyone can do is run out into the street from between parked cars the old Walker doesn't think before he acts oh says the old Walker I forgot and there he is the open-mouthed old Walker ready to be bowled over but it really isn't hard to remember that you should stay on the sidewalk except when you have to cross the street and we know now how that is done don't [Music] we down towards the end of the alphabet we find another y letter Walker I'm sure you all know him the Y [Music] Walker he's a real wise anchor why says the why Walker why walk when you can hit a ride why indeed why you don't know anything about the motorist who might pick you up you don't know what kind of a person he might be he could be a very bad driver for instance and you could have a serious accident hitchhiking can be dangerous so don't hitch rides with strangers on your way home from school always walk the same safe route the one your parents know and have told you to take I'm sure you don't want to wind up in trouble so don't be a wiseacre why [Music] Walker you see in order to walk safely and wisely in the streets you'll have to mind your peas and q's and if you want to be an alphabet Walker be an a walker the first letter of the alphabet or you might end up as one of the last letters the letter X where x marks the spot over an X [Music] pedestrian you too can get an A in Walking wisely like Bill and Betty it's as easy as ABC just remember not to walk like these alphabet Walkers the Jitter brain J Walker who always gets into jams remember always to cross the street at a marked crosswalk or at a street corner with the green [Music] light and here's the goggle eyy G Walker who doesn't look where he's going going instead of making sure he always can see the traffic and that the traffic can see him and the ill-mannered ey Walker who takes a dangerous Risk by thinking only of himself instead of showing consideration for the drivers and instead of looking to the left and to the right and to the left again before crossing a Street as he should and the Shure K Walker the showoff who clowns around and does silly tricks in the street when he could have much more fun in the playground with his friends and don't forget the open-mouthed old Walker who like a real o doesn't think before he acts but is so surprised when he gets into trouble and the wiseacre why Walker who foolishly says why walk when you can hit your ride all those alphabet Walkers still have to learn how to walk [Music] wisely like Bill and Betty and you can learn from them be a letter perfect pedestrian don't be a J Walker be an a [Music] walker actually I misspoke uh the illustrations in this were not that bad uh but there are other ones there's uh illustrations in bottle and the throttle or alcohol as Dynamite those are not very good those the ABCs of walking wisely they look better they definitely look better but uh which letter were you tell me in the comments we want to know um this film is absurd uh it is kind of a training film for McDonald's but this was a very early incarnation of McDonald's when it was first being franchised uh this is Hamburger University uh not to be confused with um hamburger the movie or uh other films feature films featuring hamburgers enjoy [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] hamburger the All American food oddly enough its history traces back to the Russian tartter they scraped meat into tiny slivers ate it raw in keeping with their Fierce reputation [Music] the next significant historical event found sailor from Germany bringing the tart's delicacy home to their women folk with varying degrees of appreciation to be sure but somehow someone decided to cook the meat patties [Music] well it could have happened this way but it remained for the English in the mid 18th century to come up with the final ingredient John mon you all know who he was well he was the fourth Earl of Sandwich yes that montue well anyway JM on a winning streak in a 24-hour card game became ravenously hungry but would not interrupt his streak of luck to eat I can't say that I blame him anyway to solve the Dilemma this misguided gentleman ordered a slice of beef between two pieces of bread [Music] you guessed it the idea caught on and the sandwich was born [Music] 1904 the St Louis fair and all the ingredients are [Music] there hamburger brought to the United States by the German immigrants the bun and the lucky Earl's idea of a sandwich American Ingenuity and the hamburger sandwich is Born the hamburger from this day on Americans couldn't get enough of it the average American eats 3.8 hamburgers per week that adds up to about 182 hamburgers per person each year over 13,000 in an average lifetime One restaurant chain alone McDonald's sells a million a day the fact is that hamburger accounts for 30% of all meat sold in the nation whenever the demand for something reaches such staggering proportions specialization develops followed by educational curriculums tailored to meet the need this situation is no exception Hamburger University uh pardon me sir haven't I seen you somewhere before BB Palm Beach at the polo matches no I could have sworn well anyway hamburger youu located just outside Chicago Illinois is operated by the world's biggest seller of hamburgers the McDonald's chain of hamburger restaurants to teach its operators and managers everything there is to know about the business the curriculum is carefully designed to lead to a degree in hamburgerology one of the newer Sciences because McDonald's did turn the business of preparing and serving hamburgers into a science they decided to teach it in the same way other Sciences are taught in a university BAS courses include hamburger 1 the analysis of meats how to prepare them how to ensure top quality in hamburgers by the time the students graduate they know more about beef than most Cowboys another important course is french fries 1 where students learn how to select the best grade of potatoes by using a space age gadget called the hydrometer to measure moisture content in in fact students Master a lot of complex devices invented at hamburger U's own research and development laboratory other courses include service taking in everything from engineering to human relations restaurant management and applied hygiene where the highest standards of cleanliness are stressed and then as in every field of study students are introduced to the more practical aspects of the subject learn to put Theory into practice equipment and procedures have been developed through painstaking research to enable a hamburger restaurant to set up for Mass quality production but like every other business it can only be as good as the people who operate it the course of study at hamburger U demands close attention from students long hours of hard work and inspires the inquiring mind to search ever deeper for the [Music] truth every student hamburgerology minors in french fries because good french fries are as important to a successful hamburger restaurant as good hamburgers students even get into Electronics learn how to run the unique electronic cooking computer invented by the research and development lab to take the guesswork out of timing and temperature cleanliness is one of the most important parts of hamburger U training at times The Thirst for knowledge becomes [Music] overpowering some students spend hours at night chewing on the problems given in the classroom and cramming for exams is a necessary part of college life but probably the most serious Hazard at hamburger youu is the temptation to devour your [Music] homework and then the big day when the student joins the professionals to put all he has learned into practice he knows he's ready because he's been through it all in Cloud a dozen times he's ready to take on the world [Music] la [Music] the rigors of university life are many uh remove your beanie [Music] chappie and the faculty adviser is often called upon to offer help and encouragement every student finds the road to graduation rough at times but that old do or die College Spirit sees him through before long the student finds himself a competent member of his profession looking forward to the day when he too might win the coveted golden hamy award whatever that is yes the old confidence returns and he's ready to hit the books again of course there will always be some complications for example you must learn to think ahead when several cars or a station wagon load of customers driveing the lot the student learns to begin cooking a supply of hamburgers [Music] immediately and of course there are all kinds of people to deal with just look at a few of the steady hamburger customers that have become famous around the world [Music] watch The Defenders [Music] Charles oh here comes a little sports car must be someone from the old International set [Music] [Applause] [Music] all in all though the majority of the hamburger customers are families just like yours and mine who go out for regular treats to their favorite [Music] restaurant these are the people that the graduates of hamburger you will serve [Music] n it's a tough course and perhaps an odd curriculum but at the end it's worth it a restaurant of your own and a degree in hamburgerology [Music] 1965 only a year older than me wow uh can you imagine being the hamburger University marching band or a cheerleader I love it it's an absurd film all right uh what what time do we have okay um let's watch this whacked out film about frigid a uh appliances out of this world enjoy [Music] now [Music] welcome to the world of Tomorrow climb aboard you are about to take a journey out of this world into the world of the future forget the world around you forget the people around you you are entering Futurama alone with your own thoughts have you ever wondered where we will find the food clothing and shelter we will need to sustain the world's exploding population in the years ahead in the Timeless distances of outer space perhaps the technology of today is already helping us penetrate the silent darkness of space man himself has taken the first tiny step into this vast unknown and we can only imagine what resources will soon be brought back to Earth by these early Pioneers but what about our own Earth are there not still resources here to meet the needs of the world tomorrow what about that great unexplored continent at the bottom of our Earth larger than the United States and Europe combined already Antarctica has become a great scientific laboratory for men of all Nations to discover great new land areas rich with natural resources Antarctica is but one area of great promise for the future what about the others what about the sea we have long sailed its surface and fished its depths but at the very bottom is a land of undreamed of abundance with enough food to feed the Earth's population seven times over there are rich ores and minerals carried by submarine trains to process stations on the coast there is the water itself to be drained from the sea and made fresh as rain to turn desert lands into fertile lands there will even be new areas for living and working a whole new dimension of life for people of of the future now consider the thick Lush lands of the Equator here nature flourishes in its greatest abundance technology has finally led the way into the wild profusion of the jungle world one day this land will be transformed into land for farms and pastures for cattle from the abundance of Equatorial jungles to the barness of great mountain ranges the future offers great promise once barriers to man's progress the mountains will soon be traversed by multiple highways that will soar over canyons and cut through towering walls of granite they will carry a LIF stream of minerals and other natural resources to the thriving industries of Tomorrow highways too will open up the great expanses of desert lands one day to be made fertile Again by Waters pumped from sea and River from Dam and Mountain stream the highways from great new centers of Agriculture and Industry will lead inevitably to the Metropolis of Tomorrow access will be easy to the Heart of the City the core in and around great cities like this will live many of the people of the future a future of Limitless hope and promise and nowhere will this be more evident to the Homemaker than in the kitchen of the [Music] future remember the Ultra Modern home exhibit you visited earlier today the wonderful New Concept you saw in the kitchen yes I couldn't believe it that's certainly understandable it's hard to believe there actually is an oven that can cook a roast in minutes by Electronics the then bake you potatoes in less time than it takes to carve the [Music] roast and remember that new idea for the family that enjoys Casual Living a refrigerated cart ready for Wheeling into a game room or out onto the patio perfect for keeping foods and drinks cool for informal entertaining yes that's a wonderful idea now let's continue our journey into imaginative design and New Concepts from the Far Corners of the [Music] world quiet just like being on the Mediterranean good Heavens I really am how wonderful um [Music] yummy beautiful and all that room for Fresh Foods [Music] too my goodness how can so much frozen food fit into such a small space and no Frost either [Music] just look at how much this dishwasher holds [Music] well I must say I certainly am getting around now I seem to be in the Exotic East I can sure use a good cup of tea about now my what a beautiful kitchen look what's over here a laundry Center how convenient and I'll bet this washer will get anything clean even my most delicate [Music] things how simple these controls [Music] are it happened again and now I'm in the orient well look at that a second oven how wonderful just pull it out for easy cleaning [Applause] ah there's something I like lots of refrigerator space and fast proof too my but something smells good over here ah I'll have to sample [Music] that ooh that's hot [Music] n [Music] hey mom [Music] mom what a day my family will never believe me hey Mom is dinner ready coming right up how does it look delicious [Music] hi Dad h looks good I'll start the car and you can tell us about going back to the world's fair today did you have fun I sure did everything I saw was out of this world [Music] uh so 61 is that right 64 so I feel like this was shown at the World's Fair in the 1964 World's Fair but it might have been shown at an earlier World's Fair um but it refers to Futurama which is a GM that's what they called their Pavilion um back in 39 and actually uh today uh at DHL Library I'm going to show a film that talks about Futurama uh it's called to New Horizons uh and I'll be with an expert uh this is at 4:30 at DH Hill and uh the expert talks about the future of cities and so uh this is a look at the future of cities almost basically 90 years ago um so it's it's interesting of course it's very car Centric so um yeah that film was whacked and we have shown some whacked out uh Appliance films um over the years and that one just takes the cake and I guess the deal is like you would sit probably in that kind of Auditorium like they were showing at the beginning and then you would get shown this film which was a travel log kind of it it was it was weird it was you know that 60s kind of early 60s wackiness um made for housewives I mean it is no half humanoid presentation with the Hamilton Beach uh carving knives that you hold up to your here and listen to a presentation uh by a robot or half a robot um but yeah I think everything was a little more tweaked out because television was making uh things you had to kind of compete with television advertising and with what was people were seeing so thanks for tuning in today very much appreciate your eyeballs uh if you like what you saw please consider hitting the thumbs up button or the like button uh even if you've done it recently uh continue to do it cuz that helps give us some uh I don't know points I don't know what social credits you know I don't know what the future holds uh as far as this but you know uh you doing that helps also uh you can donate via the super thanks button or ko-fi.com avgeeks or patreon. / avgeeks and that money will go towards rent uh let's see what else um also you can watch films that we have online uh we just uploaded Tonia uh the' 70s version which we've shown on here many times and people are going nuts and the people from Rift TRS just reached out to me they're like where was this film we have to do this film so that's going to be in the future at some point uh this is literally this morning that's what I my email was uh yeah so thanks for watching always appreciated we love you guys we love your eyeballs um and we will see you tomorrow everybody take care bye for
