foreign um well huh hello everybody this is annoying um my webcam is not working wow wow let's try this again okay there I am hi everybody I'm skip Alzheimer welcome to the AV Geeks lunchtime streaming show where webcam sometimes behave and sometimes don't um this is my backup webcam the other one's just not behaving and I don't feel like rebooting the system mid-show so we just watched uh George melaye's of amazing French uh magician and a trick photographer um and we watched films that were 120 years old nearly 120 years old so pretty awesome uh the first one was the the witch one which is what I which was what I wanted to show you the second one this just was on that comp reel as well um thank you Blackhawk films for that uh so today is Halloween and I'm wearing my um fantastic Fest shirt which is got skulls and film 16 millimeter film projector it's pretty great big fan of uh 16 millimeter film involving skulls um yeah uh so let's watch this Halloween home movie from 1965. enjoy film um I've over the years of doing the show we have had a lot of um we've shown a lot of the Halloween related stuff uh so I'm trying to pull some new stuff setting up on the scanner here see what we got red red red going to adjust it but let's go and start watching it uh I can't remember the title but it did pass we did pass the British border sensors so awesome [Music] yourself [Music] I think that dog's drowning come on come on he's in trouble I would help him but I can't swim oh my God my name as we'll pull him out come on how's the dog Liz I think he's all right it has had his poor bandage though cut it on broken glass I should think yeah I wonder who he belongs to his name's Patsy and he belongs to Old Tom what who the old man who has a junkyard near Market Lane Well we'd better take him there then haven't we look down though I thought I told you to stay away oh why the dog stinks as well the dog's in trouble you're not uh I don't know though anyway you're already all wet and dirty you can carry him oh can we come too what for cause we want to no and Dumbo don't walk too close to us [Music] laughs [Music] come on [Music] foreign [Music] thank you [Music] wow look at that it's like a great Hideout for the game yes but old Tom would never lets us use it we could clear all this junk out it could be quite comfortable but what's the use it never you could do us a favor oh what's that then you know the old van in the corner of your yard huh well we thought it would make a great then for the game attention now we could clear it out and we could do a job for you when we're here and we wouldn't get any away or anything no we'd be very careful well all right but don't get into any trouble or else you're out understood yes yes go on get weaving initiation test because what we all had to do before we join the game which one no staying in the haunted house stupid we can't just go into somebody's empty house it's all right my people's looking after it I'll ask him first do you know the house what house the one in highfields of course it's haunted by a witch yes it comes out at midnight looking for someone to put a spell on what sort of spell an evil Spellman sometimes she's huge like a giant sometimes she's tiny like that and sometimes she's like an animal a cat or something I don't believe you we don't believe you you're making it up of course if you're too scared you don't have to do it I'm not scared we're not scared are we you can't come anyway you're too small I'm not too small I'm not she can't come leave her at home that now okay [Applause] silly thing scared of a little kitty and they said I was too small huh bye [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] well that was exciting I feel like there was a parody of this uh done by some of the people who did um The Young Ones like this troop of I'm sure that this is like you know a Trope in British like it's five people six kids that rallied together I mean I feel like the bocce twins was an example of this in the United States um you know solving Mysteries uh pluckiness of kids all right um so I got this Halloween party thank you Encyclopedia Britannica [Music] foreign makes noise but there is a tap at the window no one there again at the other wind but no one is there either surprise surprise it is Father with pumpkin's Indian corn and stroll everything we need for Halloween decorations Julie wants to know what the straw is for to cover the roses with him keep them warm during the winter the whole family is getting ready to make the jack-o-lantern Peter has finished his cat mask and Julie brings paper to keep the table clean and now father is back and we are all together uh-oh what is Peter up to [Music] he is trying to scare chef with his cat mask and Chef doesn't like to be teased I'm sure Peter wouldn't like someone to tease him [Music] father has a pumped out and is working on the face Shep wants to know what this is all about and in goes his nose hey get away from here says father a very sad sorry spooky looking jack-o-lantern fan sorry [Music] now comes the best part everyone goes to turn out a light [Music] now [Music] foreign does not like the jack-o-lantern with the lighted candle in it lights on everybody laughs at ship but now it is bedtime tomorrow is Halloween but for Shep the scary part of Halloween has already begun all night he watches a sad sorry spooky jack-o'-lantern the next day is a dull one for Chef mother is going to school to bring Julie and Peter home for lunch and father is at work and the jack-o-lantern is not scary in the daytime [Music] but there is Peter's cat with that and so Shep tears the scary mask apart [Music] side door [Music] Peter sees his mask or what is left of it and there's no time to make a new one because a costume parade is right after lunch but mother is sure there is some way to get Peter a new costume now let's see there's a needle and thread Oh Ship you're such a bad dog now Peter won't have a chance to win the prize for the best costume mother tells Peter that she has an idea Peter get the rag bag Julie run upstairs and get my makeup box now the Mexican hat quickly now only half an hour left a long length of colored cloth [Applause] and nose and last the straw hat [Music] a lady scarecrow What a fine costume parade with Mother Julie and Chef watching there's a witch a cat and a clown It every different kind of costume but Peter's lady scarecrow is the best it is so funny and so different the first prize for Peter is a box of balloons and Peter calls all the other children to share his prize balloons for everyone everyone blows up a balloon all right [Music] Chef is happy that he helped Peter win Peter is very happy yes Halloween is fun [Music] [Music] foreign [Applause] [Music] damn it drown the universe destiny turn it in reverse night will be day will be night bright will be wrong and wrong will be right [Music] the Spotless in the clean I'll make them change before your sight [Music] all right let's go [Applause] you're there yeah okay so dirty I don't see why I got to be the one to feed you a million things I could do I'd rather be doing clean up your mess [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Laughter] [Music] no one has ever seen me before you didn't have to do what you just did hi I I never wanted to be different and dirty and a dirty old witch I never wanted to be maybe you could help me would you help me please please help me if that's all you want it sure oh no are you sure yes I'm sure I think I think it will hurt no I do it all the time we've got to clean your fingernails with this brush this is how you clean your hands toesies first now your feet this is how you do your ear [Laughter] now let's do your mouth do all these things to make you good and clean take a look in the mirror and you'll see is this really me yeah it takes one back to make it look like this laughs [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] so I have shown that one before because it's so good but I recently uh we scanned it as part of this project with Encyclopedia Britannica and I needed to buy some time so I fill it after the last Tea Party time to get the tea she does that she keeps disappearing and coming back again he's gonna hear ghosts and now we're ready we can start our day party go ahead there's luck for everybody [Music] nine [Music] I had such a nice time today I really hate to go but why don't you stay a while we can all play hide and seek oh that would be fun but I stayed too long already
