under is hello everybody uh welcome to the AV Geeks lunchtime streaming show uh where we watch old 16mm films and hopefully YouTube will not block them after we uh watch them and that is what happened to yesterday's stream two bogus uh copyright claims uh one by a French documentary that was using some of the home movie pool footage uh the other was uh Neil Young and Crazy Horse uh I've run into this in the past but it's almost been like 10 years basically uh they someone made a bunch of music videos using prelinger footage and then claim copyrights on them and so War Warner music group is basically saying like oh well that's a you posted footage from this um noil young uh music video and they actually in that case actually had a copyright strike against me and actually made it to where I couldn't post uh for 30 days um so this is a old Spectre that's haunting me and uh it's very frustrating uh because no they do not own that film that I posted that film is in public domain uh and I'm going to have to like take an extra hassle to get it back um really really annoying but that's what we do that's the nature of uh playing with YouTube YouTube is wonderful because it it allows me to uh get new eyeballs on this material but it's also got these weird rules that it's created about what can be shared and what can't be so Hooray YouTube screw you YouTube let's learn about the ring of Steel enjoy [Music] I am the American Soldier for the American people my family my fellows my sons to come I carry arms [Music] remember how I began born of explorers colonists hunters and deer need for the spirit we're living for the future we're making I the American Soldier am the [Music] shield wow thanks Spencer Tracy for that that was epic I should have saved that for Veterans Day um maybe I will maybe I'll bring it back at some point but yeah um stirring rousing um really quite something all right we're going to go in a completely different direction uh this is another Jam handy film and jam handy of course wants to sell you a beautiful Chevy and is using every means necessary to um do that and in this case uh this is another short subject that was probably shown in theaters um and uh uses animation and some music I think I think there's some singing in this this is uh Princess and the popper enjoy [Music] the [Music] [Applause] [Music] once or twice upon a time there was a king who ran this classified ad in the local town crier be it known all the land where the king holds sway that at the king's Palace at sundown today his majesty offers his daughter's Fair hand to the wealthiest sutor in all the land We the People voices must raise against elaz amond his Wy ways a jewel to him is a grain of sand that wicked old wizard win her hand Ali [Music] Kazam not like me the dogs this Alakazam might be public cluck number one but it's hard to see how he can lose being a magic wizard all he has to do is wave his wand like a swing band leader in the groove and zingo there's a gunny sack full of jewels jewels and stuff oh gosh look at the Diamonds and Pearls with Talent like that the king figures this is one game where a low Diamond takes a queen he's willing to nominate alakazam's son-in-law and let him make a Vanishing act out of the castle [Music] morgage you will learn to love me my little pigeon so it's Alakazam leading in the backstretch Alakazam at the IAM all the way but but wait a minute another another who's this Dark Horse coming up why this guy's our hero it looks like Dan cit's got a half Nelson on him and I'm the princess too but what chance has true love got against hot and cold running diamonds and every [Music] [Applause] [Music] room oh gosh what you got Jews oh yeah [Music] oh so out [Music] gosh look at thaty hot DIY and in those days the king's word was long well it's always darkest just before the milk wagon right now things look cold black for our hero but Presto another magician Nicki know At Your [Music] Service I love the princess but I have no jewels and so I can't winner as Majesty [Music] rules Val JS a valley of jewels but how will I go well just you watch me and soon you will [Music] know didn't I tell you to take magic to put that Alakazam on the spot marked X all you you do is relax on that High ho lolam away [Music] what a spot for a 21 Jewel Force Landing is this what they mean by being a couple of jumps ahead of the [Music] sheriff meanwhile the villain is tuning in on his crystal ball a spirit of the crystal will you confess the beautiful prince she loves me yes the beautiful princess she loves you no look again Alakazam you got diamonds Galore the POA boys got plenty more Jeepers Creepers how you like that where's my hat my wand my Gladstone somebody SLE my magic [Music] vulture down cut BT open the [Music] St it's a good thing he's just renting the place poer in Flight six calling Bagdad calling Bagdad hello Dad ceiling unlimited visibility just [Music] peachy but he shouldn't be detouring through any rainbows to get himself all dled [Music] up not when there's a tough citizen heading his way with unkind thoughts Hey kid snap out of it alakazam's on the muscle and here he come sideswipe by gosh and now the beans are spilled for sure but Nicki gnome's a wood butcher too he does a little cabinet work [Music] this alak kazer must be a heart guy to live with it seems he's been throwing a couple of smokers and has handed out some cheap stoies the smoke just about has our hero down and Nikki gets the air conditioning system going just in time to save the referee from counting 10 alak Sam is so Plus nonplused at the way things are going that he from gets to dot his eyes Alakazam is going to stop this guy but how a good beaing will keep the malls out of any rug but our hero takes an awful dusting too so Nikki comes back with a couple of new twists to spring on the [Music] [Applause] [Music] villain now it seems that the villain's baldheaded buzzit is saving string to feather a [Music] nest so here is our hero down and out but definitely down yeah but not out he knows a few ways to score that aren in the rule book so he pulls some high tension abbacadabra that leaves Alakazam somewhere back of the flag signals ship and interference follow me [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] this proves that hard guys better watch out when there's a good magician around or else they will get bats in the belfrey [Music] and the moral of this story is like this a poor because honest citizen can practically always Marry The King's Daughter and live happily ever after if he knows the right [Music] [Applause] [Music] people oh boy a lot there and yes what a long walk to uh get to a Chevrolet I was like is it ever going to get there I knew that it had to like how how is that going to happen um again this is uh Jam Handy's company creating content that uh theater owners would be like yeah we'd love to show this you know oh it's free content we can show our movie goers um that's animated it's like a new cartoon um and someone said It felt it had a flasher feel and Max flasher uh when he left flasher Studios he actually worked with Jim handy for a while so there is some pretty quality animation um Thomas this is a live show FYI so uh in case you don't know like why is Skip outside why is he not at the archive well the archive is we've begun doing some renovation work there and so uh we've moved some stuff uh to the basement at where I live uh with Katrina and uh it's so nice outside that I felt like yeah I should uh do something outside uh although I was like right in the sun uh earlier so that's why I'm in a different position right now um and I happen to have fairly good uh internet here so that's that's awesome okay uh this next film and a lot of these films we're looking at today uh came from the pringer archive we've been working with them over the last 20 years it feels like yeah digitizing putting things up online to um internet archive YouTube Etc and so uh we're kind of revisiting some of the earlier ones that we uh put online uh so this one is world word to the wives I don't think I spelled that right word to the wives enjoy [Music] it wasn't really a plot against George Peters but I'll admit it might have looked that way the morning his wife Jane stopped by for coffee we had just been in our new house two weeks and I was still ecstatic over everything especially my dream kitchen well how do you like it there's only one word for it terrific you know I'm so proud of it it's almost indecent of me I can hardly wait to show it off week from Friday night well you go ahead and be indecent G's got a right to enjoy your first housewarming party sure wish I was having one you having many people well not a mob if that's what you mean just you the crawfords the slagles the Martins and a couple of others hey why so sad and this isn't the first time I've noticed it oh nothing really not very convincing Jane girl whatever it is I've got just the cure for it there's a sensational sale going on at Watson a new hat would be the ideal tonic for you I'm going down this afternoon for a small spree how about coming with me no I wish I could but it's just impossible you've no idea how much I've got to do remember I haven't got your dream kitchen to make things easier mine's strictly the nightmare type and I wish George would do something about it all he's done so far is talk and and not with any real enthusiasm about moving you mean we' looked at a couple of older houses but that's no improvement we've got an older house if only there was some way of really selling George on the idea the fifth Freedom maybe freedom from unnecessary drudgery freedom to go shopping when the urge hits you or when there's a sale going on well sale or no sale I'm swamp besides my mother's been quite ill in Cleveland and I've been thinking about taking the weekend off to visit her got to get my clothes in the dryer I'll show you a couple of my prize Beauties this setup makes any day wash day for me and I can do my drying in any kind of weather with a gas dryer it couldn't be easier it's completely automatic I remember seeing this washer in the magazine M it's automatic too isn't it that's right isn't there a little colored guide light that follows the operation through the various stages yes I know exactly what's happening I don't even have to watch a clock wait a minute you say you're going to visit your mother this weekend you know Jamie my girl this might prove a very fortunate trip for you and Just for kicks don't get too far ahead in your housework now why should you have to lay out everything all nice and ready for George and Jimmy down to the last egg and can of salmon oh no I couldn't I I'd have to make things easy for them after all after all you've been going through this might be the Awakening for friend George the big bright Dawn it might do him a world of good to be left all alone with Jimmy for two or 3 days in your kitchen well Jane finally got off for Cleveland still not too certain she was doing right by leaving George and Jimmy by themselves even though George was absolutely sure they'd get along just fine that's what he said just fine [Music] of course when you leave a man to his own devices he's apt to think of something fancy like curried chicken with rice but in this case George not only should have done a little more thinking about his recipe but should have kept his eyes on the stove as well now if he had just let his rice simmer instead of boiling but frankly I doubt if George knew how to bring things to a [Music] simmer well maybe it was the mess and maybe it was just the temperature outside but George thought he could use a little cooling off a nice icy lemonade would be just right [Music] hey Pop what am I going to eat what's with this ice tray here there's no there's no ice in it oh I guess I forgot to fill it sometime you might ask George how far is a mile he would tell you it's the distance from his sink to his backyard garbage [Music] pale now like many men tackling a problem George was very efficient very the smart way to do dishes was two meals at a time [Music] [Applause] [Music] givey did you have to take a bat this time of day I have got a drop a hot water in the sink I got a stack of dishes here a mile high I'm going to be here till midnight what's the matter with you for [Music] Jane had been away for all of two and a half days but the way she was welcomed back by George you'd think she'd been gone a month well oh we'll be there early enough the others aren't coming till 7 oh look I still have a couple of little things to do but it'll only take a minute or so M your famous sweet potato casserole only this time with shredded pineapple instead of orange juice you two go over and sit at the table Don will be back in a few minutes George he's doing some last minute shopping for me me oh hey I almost forgot the big news I went out to Pond Ridge with Helen Baker today and I broke 50 for the first time on nine holes no now wait a minute pal you mean to tell me that with this big shindigger staring you in the face you still had time for gol nothing to it with this kitchen it's a breeze come on over look at some of the evidence by the way did you know that this kitchen won an award from the woman's Home Companion huh and really they thought of everything I just love the convenience and modern styling of this built-in gas range Alice aren't you going to like the oven I don't have to it's completely automatic you'll never guess what this sauce is for the baked hand equal parts of grape jelly and light mustard Blended and simmered and this burn does it without scorching anyone care for a spot of grapefruit juice to tide you over yeah said then they one of the things I love about this refrigerator is that it turns out ice circles and puts them in a bowl for you all by itself continuous ice Circle yeah really aren't you taking a chance of staining that counter with fruit juice no danger with for Mica whatever stain oh that's the greatest help George hanging the things you need where you need them in fact this whole kitchen was designed for efficiency and convenience that's what I like solid and serious steel and so easy to keep clean too hey what's this oh automatic flower dispenser very handy here I'll show you how it works hey what's going on here oh Bo we're a little early oh that's good I've been showing them around good darling hello Jane hi oh Don will you get rid of these for me while I sort this stuff well you might have pressed old George in the service here come on George I'll show you how it works this is really for me CH what is it well it's a simple gas disposer that takes care of all the waste the brightest shiniest bride can use this gizm will yeah that's great and that also goes for this automatic water heater mhm two temperatures from the same tank at the same time now this pipe here it uh gives you hot water for the bathroom and for the kitchen sink but the other pipe this one gives you really hot water for clothes and for dishes to make them really clean W both anytime you want hey look um George if you're really interested in this layout the man set it up for us a good friend of ours Ed Stevens yeah he's going to be here tonight yeah just in case you'd have anything to ask [Music] yeah well all I want to say is that Don's little suggestion turned into a rather interesting and provocative conversation and Ed Stevens is a handy man with figures and ideas it certainly looked like progress was being made when we peaked in on them well that's the way it worked out and as I mentioned before it wasn't a plot against George well you don't think Jane and I would do something like that do [Music] you well folks I'll leave it up to you whether the gals tricked me or not but that's another story this new dream housee is a happy ending to our story why don't you drop around and talk with the men who can make your dream of a new home come true the best and most reputable builders in your area are here to help you they're standing by right now in the booth sponsored by your local Home Builders Association to discuss plans and prices with you believe me a few minutes now can lead to a whole lifetime of happiness happy home building [Music] Darren McGavin yeah uh I have some other films that he was in uh he was in a bell science series film uh called one is called Unchained goddess uh he was in a VD film that I have that was made by the the war department which is called Miracle living so he shows up um a bunch before he played the dad on um Christmas Story um but also the Night Stalker man I saw that I saw that TV series when I was way too young to watch it so I had many nightmares associated with that awesome show all right uh let's see so we've shown films by uh Calvin Industries before uh they one did that management series for Alcoa where they uh you know they they show like a segment they show like a a situation and then the manager is supposed to figure out what they did wrong and and there's always a question at the end so that's one thing they did they also did these film workshops where they would bring in other people uh who were making industrial films or sponsored films or educational films and kind of teach them the basics of how to make something interesting they also made that uh horrible Freez in film which was not very funny featuring two members of Laughin uh trying to sell Kenmore freezers um so this film is intentionally funny and uh we you'll see some characters that you know you'll see some of the uh the people that are in those management films uh this is called Murder on the screen enjoy [Music] this was the scene of the crime in our book it's murder same old story to begin with victim young good-looking wanted to get on television had everything it takes for a great career someplace along the line got mixed up with the wrong guy you know wound up dead we don't know who did it or how that's what we're trying to find out about the body not pretty beat up mutilated pretty bad hard to believe anybody do a thing like that but if you've got a strong stomach take a look alive and healthy a month ago now she's dead couldn't get her through a projector if you good nobody could stand a [Music] look yes [Music] speaking tomorrow but you told me next week but you've got it [Music] [Music] oh Mr G no Mr G please think of your wife family the company surv let me alone I made up my mind I made up my mind who did it we don't know all we got are suspects there's a guy name of Jones labman He makes prints of films he handled this print that print was perfect when she left me I had nothing to do with killing her then there's Smith he's a film distributor he sent the print to the station why would I do anything to hurt her I loved her and brown he's film director at the station I know you're trying to make me the Fall Guy it won't work she was with me a lot sure but I was taken care of her and Harris projectionist at the station I only had that print long enough to threat her up I couldn't have done her any harm somebody did somebody murdered her my job find out who we questioned the suspects got their stories first this man Jones from the film laboratory what do you pick on me for I never hurt that print how do you figure that I know the kind of treatment film gets here that's my business protecting film turning out perfect Prince why ask me all these questions just routine well I got nothing to hide I'll tell you how it was that print here's where she came from first I saw of her she was coming off this processing machine brand new and perfect and we kept her that way too how well figure it out what's the biggest danger to film dirt all right look around no dirt in here even the air is filtered not a chance for any dust or dirt or stuff to get to her go on another thing before she ever left the machine before I ever touched her she was lubricated you oiled her no no wax solution here film goes over this glass cylinder that rotates and puts the lubricant on the Emulsion side lubricant yeah we make it up ourselves about a tenth of a gram of Hercules B16 synthetic wax to 100 G of salvent applied here dries almost instantly what's the idea protection against scratches abrasion keeps the film from sticking in a projector gate for instance you ever hear of people having trouble with green prints green prints yeah that's a print that hasn't been lubricated that fresy Mulch and gelatin is always soft a little tacky sticky unless you lubricate that surface the first few times you try to project it you can have trouble you get sticking little tiny particles of that soft Emulsion come off and pile up in the gate result is jittery picture not steady not only that if it sticks bad the claw puts too much tension on the perforations may even tear them or you can lose a loop break the film or the film runs off and the sprockets punch new holes a green print will do that right another thing where that soft Emulsion piles up dirt gets in it drags against the film and you get abrasion sounds like what happened to this print NOP couldn't have cuz like I said she was lubricated like all our prints that wax coating prevents print sticking so don't blame me for what happened to that print guy you're looking far must be never mind anybody else what else did you do with her what else well took the Reel off the machine made a regular visual inspection we'd have caught any defects if there' had been any and we're still working in clean filtered air remember put her on a core labeled her packaged her up and shipped her off that's all yeah so if I did all that took all that care how could I have hurt her I wonder huh if you did all [Music] that next guy we talked to was Smith works for this film distribution outfit his story was sure I remember she came to us from the lab on a core we inspected her while rewinding her onto a reel careful were you sure brand new real like always side straight no burs was she in good shape then perfect and then well she went out to two or three stations I could tell you which ones no names okay anyway the next I saw of her she was still in A1 condition that was one morning when I got her out of the rack for timing and inspection hold it this sign this film of fire hazard what's that oh no it's all safety film The Point Of No Smoking is it helps keep the place clean that's the first rule in handling film don't let dirt and stuff get to so they tell me you can see for yourself how clean we keep it around here there's no windows to let dirt and grime in from the outside tables nothing on them except what we need to work with no chance for dirt or abrasive material to get to our film this is the way it always is sure film's our business you know how much it costs us when a print gets scratched up and has to be junked plenty plenty is right that's why I keep my place looking like this you never catch me doing like some people letting my table turn into a junk pile that's murder on film I got more sense than that I'll tell you something about film what's that whenever film's being handled moved other words wound and rewound it builds up static electricity it gets just like a magnet it attracts particles of dirt stuff from the air cigarette ashes dirt on the table that stuff gets ground into the film and you've got scratches but about this murder you took this print to your table Yeah for timing and inspection meaning what well to measure the footage first using this counter but that can't hurt film providing you don't pull it through too fast did you no took it slow thing is while I was timing her I was checking for any damage any abrasions or scratches how how' I check Helder Saw The Light reflects off the film in he scratches I'd see him did you see any no what else you checked for any splices in the print if there had been any bad ones I'd have repaired them but there weren't look for any damage to the perforations any torn ones they were all okay anything else yeah I made sure that the last station hadn't left any commercials in the film and I checked for improper Q marks what marks Q marks you know the little marks we put at certain points in the film to uh signal a director or projectionist when to switch over or when the film's about over or when to bring in a commercial you know I get you the reason I checked that well you should see some of the films we get back brother the Q marks these Jokers all think they've got to have their own special Q marks at their own special places and make them good and big so they can't miss them looks awful ruins a print I can understand why they don't use a standard Q system believe me okay but this print any Q marks on her only the right ones that's all any other injuries no like I say she was in beautiful shape sure of that sure anything wrong I'd have reported it but there wasn't condition A1 no scratches no perforation damage everything okay you wear gloves always don't catch me getting fingerprints on any films clean gloves Yeah clean gloves change them every day maybe oftener look I know what you're getting at gloves pick up dirt particles while you work Run film over the cloth and it acts just like sandpaper only thing is I didn't do that my gloves were clean and I didn't drag the film over the dry cloth I held it by the edges like always so then what well after inspection we rewound her and cleaned her at the same time cleaned her how with wax and Sal the same thing they use in the labs lubricant is it yeah anytime you clean film you ought to use a lubricant to do it just makes sense to give it that protection this machine it's safe sure film runs through these strips of rayon plush solution drips onto the material keeps it moist the plush is Chained so no dirt gets a chance to pile up and scratch the film takes up on a reel and that's it no you still say that I couldn't have hurt that print she went right into the can and the shipping case and left here like I say condition A1 I swear it anything that happened to her later I had nothing to do with it I pass yeah I see you what passing the buck that is we followed the thing a little farther talked to this man Brown film director at the TV station he admitted he' had a lot to do with the victim naturally I did I'm responsible for all the film here at the station our own prints and the ones we lease a rent I make up the programs see that the film's timed and cleaned put in commercials make repairs all that but I didn't hurt that film what did you do to her well uh the day she came in I got her out of the rack to take her in for timing and inspection sign says no smoking I didn't smoke we don't allow smoking where films being handled because I know then what took her in put her on the table and started timing table pretty clean Yeah clean sure look at it anytime I know what dirt does to film we're careful any place we're handling film it's clean air conditioned that's all we do there just handle film don't get touchy you project this print no why not why I haven't got time to project all the film we get in here here hundreds of feet a day some stuff I project sure if if there's a question about it but not this one I I don't think you're not sure no but if I had that wouldn't have hurt her you can see our preview projectors and real good shape why we clean the gate every other day I know what a dirty projector can do to film and I know what happens if you don't thread a projector right so so I'm careful about threading every time but like I say this print I didn't project all I did was timer and Spectre and and put in the commercials take it a step at a time well what I did was run her through the footage counter at a good safe speed too some guys pull them through so fast they scream not not me I've seen what that can do to film so of you so I went slow meantime I checked for scratches and damaged perforations the the usual things and then find any damage no it didn't anyhow I figured the distributor made a real thorough check and cleaned it so there was no reason to think anything was wrong he claims there was nothing wrong with it okay well I couldn't have heard it either mhm then what'd you do spliced in the Comm commercials how like I always do listen I know how to make a splice Mister you can watch me anytime WR by the book put the film in carefully don't jam it on the pins never use Scott tape or masking tape to back up a splice I know that stuff gets caught in the projector gate oh then I scrape the Emulsion and I use a scraper that's made for scraping wet the Emulsion to soften it take it all off without without cutting down into the base then the cement put it on close her up give it 10 or 15 seconds to dry well and I've got a perfect splice but that's how I always do it and I keep my splicer adjusted too so there's no chance of splies being crooked okay after inspection what you clean it no it didn't need it the distributor always ever clean film here sure sure our own Library prints or any prints that need it use a machine no no we clean it by hand we run it through soft cotton pads moistened with cleaning fluid I say clean we keep changing the cloth so dirt can't pile up and scratch the film cleaning fluid yeah a solvent with a little synthetic wax in it to lubricate the film makes it move through the projector nice and smooth right now about this print after inspection you'd rewound it yeah and I was careful there too first place my rewinds are lined up perfectly no way film can drag against the sides then I kept a constant tension on the film I'm not one of these Wise Guys when a comes to rewind and film Wise Guys yeah you've seen them showing off building up speed then then coasting letting the film drag over the table so it gets scratched or cranking it through with a jerky motion so you won't get a good snug roll and none of that stuff for me uh-uh steady speed constant tension when I rewind yeah something else I've seen guys do a sloppy job so the film's loose on the re then they'll yank on the end of the film till it's tight worst thing you can do any dirt particles on the film just get grounded along against the Emulsion and dig grooves cinch marks you've seen them look like this yeah I've seen them that's why I didn't sense the film never do rewinder good and snug on a good reel no bent sides no Burrs put her in with the next day's programs that's all I did I didn't hurt that print and you can't prove I did I'm innocent so help me funny thing huh if you're innocent why would you want [Music] help that left us with one more suspect Harris projectionist at the TV station had an answer to everything oh I grant you film can get ruined in projection it happens but not if the film is in good shape and the projector is worth right now that's my job no bent reels and I never Spin The takeup Reel after I'm threaded up and I'll tell you now my projector never harmed that print sure of that figure it out I'm supposed to get a good picture on the screen only way I can do that is to keep that projector clean if I the gate gets dirty and the picture starts jumping around like this or the sound scanning system gets dirty and the sound goes Haywire like this noisy you see yes friends feed your Pooch doggy drops you'll go for that yummy flavor and remember doggy drops are double enriched now twice as effective get the handy 50 lb economy size at your neighborhood kenel so I don't let those things happen I work on that projector work on it how well well take the gate every chance I get I pull it out and clean it especially along these rails let imulsion or dirt pile up here and it's liel to scratch the film particularly on the soundtrack area then you've got a noisy track go on another thing if the gate's dirty the film can't move through freely TS to stick when the intermittent pulls down on the perforation now that extra strain can scar those per arations may even tear them then you lose your Loop get run off really chew up the film that's what happened here to the victim nope that's what didn't happen because I cleaned that gate got the dust out of it and that isn't all I checked every film contact Point made sure the rollers were all really rolling not stuck so the film was dragging over him now that could happen did it no I told you I checked it part of my normal maintenance like checking the sound system all the time cleaning all the film contact points to make sure we get the best sound quality and also make sure the film doesn't get scratched when it goes over the drum main thing with a projector is to keep it clean and lubricated right then it'll never damage film not if the film's okay to begin with how about threading well what about got it listen I know my job I thread that projector 50 times a day and I do it right ask anybody they' tell you or you can watch me yourself anything goes wrong during projection it's because there are bad splices in the print or torn perforations or dirt on the film I take care of this projector and I thread it up the right way now that's all I can do I projected that print and I put her in the rack that the last I saw of her not quite what do you mean you see her [Music] now so there it's a murder that everybody says couldn't have happened we don't know who did it all we know is this if all the suspects had treated the victim like they say they did she'd be alive today only she's not somebody's guilty maybe all of them together but if they stick to their stories we're stuck with a Perfect Crime it happens more than you [Music] think as for you we figure you're innocent this case you can go just one thing you want to stay in the clear and get this straight every time you handle film better figure it's a matter of life or death because it is get a little careless and we may be after you for murder on the [Music] screen boy we geeked out pretty hard on that one didn't we oh wow um I had not actually seen that in its entirety so uh I've seen parts of it but man so good holy cow and it I have broken every single one of those rules uh I basically came to this as a hobbyist and learned the hard way uh about all of those so I have caused innumerable damage I have murdered so many films so here's the tip off I think you looking at that reel you saw the how the film like came off of it um one somebody didn't tape Down The Reel so that's loose so when they shipped it back maybe that's what happened uh you know it's also possible that someone when they rewound it they it was a loose wind there's so many things uh that were going on with that film um but thank you so much uh Thomas thank you so much for the kind donation uh towards renovation yeah we're uh there's lots of things that are just taking money out of our wallets uh one is the fact that we're paying for seven storage units the other is uh you know we're we got a new roof at the at the archive and we're paying to do this and we're paying to do that but uh we still are going to be showing you films this whole time it's uh how we uh do what we do and and it's very much how we enjoy doing what we're doing in spite of what YouTube uh does to us while we're doing it uh so thank you for tuning in today if you like what you saw you can donate via the super than button and YouTube you can go to ko-fi.com avgeeks excuse me patreon.com avgeeks at the very least hit the thumbs up or the like button or the Subscribe button those are great ways to support us uh with the numbers the weird numbers the weird inventory of how avgeeks is doing in the the YouTube internet World um and I'll be uploading a bunch of stuff to our YouTube channel again more stuff from the pringer archives that we haven't uploaded in the past so there'll be new stuff to look at uh also we'll be concentrating on getting some of the stuff from our collection that we have't put up on YouTube really going to do a big push uh until YouTube says all right you're out like cancel the entire Channel and then we'll have to figure out where else to put it um thanks again everybody take care we will see you soon take care bye e
