Description: A portrait of Tony Price, a painter and sculptor from New York who has lived and worked in New Mexico near the Los Alamos National Laboratory (birthplace of the atomic bomb) for 20 years. The salvage yard of the nuclear lab is filled with piles of exotic materials: plastics, glass, pipes, copper shavings, bomb casings and prototypes. For Tony Price, these nuclear scraps are source materials for his sculptures and catalysts for his artistic process, beating swords into plowshares.
