Description: Explores the many possibilities for creating imaginative collages of different sizes, shapes, and textures, using common materials and scraps of cloth. Indicates that, while some people prefer to sketch their ideas before pasting and stitching, some like to work with others to get opinions on color and form. Demonstrates how new ideas sometimes come while working and how some children simply shake cloth scraps onto burlap in order to develop an idea from the ways in which the scraps fall.
