e [Music] oh hello there um I'd like to know how how you feel about animation it'll never fly Orville [Music] [Music] flip books you have to have a lot of patience and you have to be good at drawing the same picture about a whole lot of times when you're flipping a flip book it's going at about 16 or 32 real fast put of that well you don't really have to do flip books on cards you can do them on pad of paper anything that you can flip really you can do it on your math book a flip book you can do just about anytime you get bored cuz I know you always most people have a class where the teacher has to go over everything about eight times and you already know it well for the first time when you get it the rest of the seven times she's saying it you can just go back over and make a flipbook it's like having a little movie in your pocket and you can pull it out and watch it anytime uh 245° no two lights at a 45° angle on each side of your picture so the light won't reflect back into the camera in 16 mm film you have 24 frames per second and in 8 Super Eight you have 18 frames per second and as you film it two frames each card it will make it move along the screen uh you take the thing and you put it under and you click [Music] [Music] it oh man that is can I have some water oh thank you well a Flip Flip [Music] and fli flip fli di just get H and go out and flip fli fli fli [Music] [Music] FP take a oh get and get out andp go Flip Flip Flip Flip Flip now w w w wow don't feel yie go flip a boie now w w w w don't be [Music] aook it's good and messy you can slap things all over the place it's fun it's cheap I mean that's what you need noway cheap thing I have to get that it no waiting do it and you show it instant movies okay kids give me a [Music] p my God [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] well when you're doing uh real life films like the only thing that you can film is like real life and people but with animation you can do anything you want like your rain is open to do [Music] [Music] anything give me in [Music] [Applause] I don't know oh boy a banana I hope I can get it home before the gang sees it a banana a big banana oh boy hey I hope I can get home in time hey [Applause] he hey wait for me it's fat inert they could have left me the peel [Music] in Ros my favorite drink [Music] somebody get that fish down there somebody get him how do you get in there anyway good ideas for animation probably come you never think of them when you're trying to think of them you think of them when you're doing something else like you doing a math test and we'll come to you [Music] finally been waiting 3 years to talk and now I [Music] come when you're taking it it doesn't seem to you like it could ever move boy it sure is a drag being small you never know what can happen to a little guy like me oh another Squish and [Music] run I think ants must be a minority group it's done fly [Music] delicious when our film comes back from the from the lap and it's all you know fixed up and everything we look at it for the first time it really looks funny cuz you know I have scenes from from one place and you go to another when you want it over here and then we get to edit and that's fun when you um Edie you can cut out things that you don't want like if somebody's hand got in the way or they somebody ran in front of the camera and you could help it you can just cut those things out you know when you when you see someone else's film for the first time they haven't edit it again and then you see it again after they edit it it's it's weird cuz it's like magic the best part is when you finally get to see it on the screen after all that work when you see it you just can't believe you did it I guess I like the best was um seeing the film's the best part it doesn't really come alive until you put it on the screen [Music] [Applause] [Music] that's hey a banana I hope I get eat this [Music] one [Music] need on you oh your foot's in my ey hey get out of here come hey hey hey wait for fat [Music] [Music] delicious reason I like monster movies is cuz it helps me escape from [Music] reality might have oh it's got EA you we oh my go keep away from
