Discusses variations in behavior found in squirrels, frogs, insects, Canadian geese, the fox, deer, and birds. Also discusses the care of an orphaned animal, the implications of keeping an animal from its natural habitat. 3) Shows the changes that occur in animals during the fall season as cold weather approaches. Explains why the elk, raccoon, and rabbit experience bodily changes; butterflies, geese, ducks, and some birds migrate; and still other animals prepare for hibernation.
