Description: A photographic study of the art and architecture of Konarak, the temple of the angles of the sun, situated near Puri in India, southeast of Calcutta. Built in the 13th century A.D. and dedicated to Surya, the sun god, it was conceived in the form of his chariot. For unknown reasons, it was abandoned shortly after its completion and has stood deserted and unused.
