Description: Incorporating elements of the western genre, this sequel to American tail opens with the immigrant Mousekewitz family living in poverty in a New York city mouse tenement. Realizing that America's streets are not paved with cheese, young Fievel dreams of the Wild West and his hero, dog sheriff Wylie Burp. His sister Tanya longs to be a singer. Roguish cat R. Waul persuades the Mousekewitz's to abandon city life and make the trek westward where cats and mice purportedly live together in harmony. On board the western-bound train, Fievel overhears Waul's dastardly plan to use the mice as slave labor and then turn them into mouseburgers. Fievel is caught by the feline gang and marooned in the desert while his family goes on to settle in the dusty town of Green River. Returning just in time to rid the settlement of the villains, Fievel with friends Wylie and Tiger expel the crooks after a shootout with catapults. Songs include: Somewhere out there; Way out West; Rawhide; Dreams to dream; and The Girl I left beind. (Circulates) Genre/FormFeature films.
