my name's Mike I'm 19 I ride a motorcycle and I'm alive that's important because when I was 13 I came down with leukemia I didn't know it then but they thought I'd last only about 6 weeks still they gave me a new type of drug treatment and after 6 weeks I was still alive and after 6 months and now after 6 years not all the leukemia kids who get this treatment have done as well as I but more and more of us are making it every year those cancer researchers are working like crazy they think they're getting close to where they can start talking about a permanent [Applause] cure cure to me that's the most beautiful word in the English language a cure for Mike and all other kids with leukemia that's one of the things we're working on at the American Cancer Society so when our volunteer Rings your doorbell be generous we want to wipe out cancer in your lifetime I'm
