Description: In these 1977 news outtakes for KMOL-TV (now WOAI-TV), Paul Schaefer reports on relics discovered by archeologists from the University of Texas at San Antonio during the recent renovation of Alamo Plaza. The footage begins with dramatic views of the Alamo, including a number of high angle shots. Then an unidentified researcher at the UTSA Center for Archeological Research, possibly Jack Eaton, showcases ammunition fragments used during the 1836 Siege of the Alamo. Schaefer appears on screen in the second half of the interview (missing sound), in which the researcher describes some Spanish pottery fragments.
