Africa : village on stilts

Description: Depicts the tribal traditions in a typical fishing village in the Republic of Dahomey, Africa, where the houses are built high on stilts above the water. Features Nicolas an 11 year old boy, as he goes to school, swims, plays and helps his father. Also shows how the piping in of clean drinking water helped reduce the death rate from cholera and other water-borne diseases. Narrated by Percy Rodriguez.
