Description: Presents the performance given by Les Ballets Africains in the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations Headquarters on the anniversary of the adoption by the UN of the Human Rights declaration. The vivacity of this authentic dance group is complemented by accompanying instruments. With an introduction by H. E. M. Achkar Marof, ambassador from Guinea to the UN, translated by Alistair Cooke.
Complete Record: Presents members of Guinea's Ballet African perform native dances before the United Nations. Shows the frenzied dances proclaimes as symbolizing the spirit of Africa, performed in colorful flowing robes and accompanied by tribal music played upon native instruments. Commemorates the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
