Across the Strait

Description: Episode of Series “Wild Australia”. The Cape Barren goose one of the world’s rarest species, is found on the island in Bass Strait. Looks at the birds in their natural environment and describes their varying fortunes at the hands of man. Other birds filmed include Pacific gulls, cormorants, black swans, the chestnut teal and the spur-winged plover also emphasising research by Dr. Dorward on Glennie Island.
